Method and apparatus for reservoir free and ventless water filtering
An on-demand filter structure including a first hydrophilic protective layer comprising a first surface exposable to a stream of water. A contact area on the first surface receives the stream. The first hydrophilic protective layer receives the stream and distributes water out a second surface, primarily using gravity. An activated carbon felt (ACF) layer is adjacent to the second surface, wherein the ACF layer is configured for water filtration, primarily using gravity. A second hydrophilic protective layer includes a third surface adjacent the ACF layer and a fourth surface. The third surface receives filtered water from the ACF layer, and the fourth surface expels the filtered water primarily using gravity, wherein the first and second hydrophilic protective layers sandwich the ACF layer. A cross section of the first hydrophilic protective layer, the ACF layer, and the second hydrophilic protective layer has a curvature.
Water container with integrated plasma disinfection
A water container or bottle with integrated disinfection preferably includes a battery compartment, a control printed circuit board (PCB) to manage several parameters including timing, voltage rate, and user-interface. A high voltage power supply is coupled to a set of electrodes to cause an electric discharge. The electric discharge results in a series of reactions in the water that eliminate bacteria and viruses, dissolves organic material, and oxidizes inorganic compounds.
GRAVITY-FLOW FILTER ASSEMBLY
In one embodiment, an apparatus for dispensing a liquid is disclosed. The apparatus can comprise a cap configured to connect to a container body having a chamber for containing the liquid. The cap can comprise a pour aperture through which the liquid exits the apparatus. The cap can comprise a pour lid configured to open and close the pour aperture. The cap can comprise a cap vent configured to allow air to flow from the outside environs into the chamber of the container body when the cap is connected to the container body.
Container For Filter-As-You-Pour System
The invention relates to container bodies configured to be used in filter-as-you-pour systems, where filtering is achieved as the user pours water from the container. Such container bodies may have an undivided internal storage volume, so as to not include a reservoir compartment for unfiltered water. They may be part of systems configured to filter water both as water is introduced into a container body of the system and as water is poured from the container body of the system. The filter assembly may be attached to the container body at a location proximate the outlet of the system. Filter media of the filter assembly may comprise an activated carbon textile material that presents a curved surface to water passing through the filter assembly. The container body may be configured as a pitcher, carafe, water bottle, jug, or other shaped container.
Water filtration systems and methods
A water filtration system having an adapter portion defining a hollow interior adapter space; and having a first threaded portion and being configured to receive a water filter having a second threaded portion; at least a nut configured to secure the system to a container by being screwed onto the first threaded portion; at least one washer fitted onto the adapter portion and configured to prevent leaks from the container; the water filter having an exterior surface configured to absorb into a hollow interior filter space unfiltered water placed into the container by having a coconut carbon filter; the hollow interior filter space having filtration media configured to remove contaminants such that the unfiltered water becomes filtered water; the water filter further configured to allow the filtered water to drain out of the water filter by gravity, such that the filtered water exits the system and into a receiving container.
Liquid purification device
The invention belongs to liquid predominantly to water purification devices which are used as off line units in household, outdoors, in the village and service departments. Particularly the given invention is in the filed of pressure off-line units.
The invention can be used for water purification and other liquids of household use, in medicine and other branches of industry.
Liquid purification device, operating under gas pressure and containing raw liquid vessel with the spout, lid, filtration cartridge, purified liquid vessel, output purified liquid means, the gas injection block, connected to raw liquid vessel, and containing gas injection means, control panel and power supply, characterized in that the liquid purification device is capable of at least two stage opening of the lid and the pressure relief down to atmospheric is on the first stage.
Device for UV-LED liquid monitoring and treatment
A liquid treatment device includes a base with a power source, a UV-LED module for providing UV-B or UV-C light to liquid, an LED for providing visible light, and a processor for selectively powering the UV-LED module and the LED, and having a UV transmissive material above the UV-LED module for allowing the UV-B or UV-C band light from the UV-LED module to be transmitted from the base housing, and a liquid storage housing removably coupled to the base housing with a storage portion configured to hold liquid and having a bottom portion comprising a UV transmissive material for allowing the UV-B or UV-C band light from the UV-LED module to be transmitted into the liquid, and an output coupled for restricting outflow of the liquid from the storage portion.
Pitchers, filtration units, and filtration systems and methods
The present invention relates generally to fluid filtration, such as, for example, filtration systems and methods, filtration units, pitchers, and combinations thereof.
WATER FILTER CARTRIDGE HAVING AN AIR VENT
A water filter system including a filter cartridge removably secured in a container. The filter cartridge includes a handle extending from the filter cartridge, where the handle includes at least one vent hole, so that air within the filter housing moves outwardly through the at least vent hole during filtration.
High flow-through gravity purification system for water
Disclosed is a gravity fed purification system having a purification media having a layer of low ash catalytic carbon having a nominal particle size range of about 20 mesh to about 50 mesh, wherein the purification system is able to produce a flow rate of about 1000 to about 1500 cc/min with a pressure head of about 300 to about 350 cc.
