WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM

A water treatment system is provided with an untreated water reservoir having a cavity through which a filter assembly may traverse such that untreated water in the cavity passes through the filter assembly into a treated water reservoir. Removal of the filter assembly may be facilitated by a seal disengagement element operable to unseat a seal formed during efforts to direct untreated water through the filter assembly.

Monitoring and performance management system for a network of smart filtering containers

System that monitors and manages a network of smart filtering containers, such as water pitchers with integrated sensors. Measurements are collected from the containers and forwarded to a centralized system, such as an Internet server; data may be analyzed to determine performance modifications or recommendations for selected containers. Centralizing the data enables discovery of patterns and correlations across containers; for example, abnormal measurements from multiple pitchers in an area may suggest contamination of the area's water supply. The centralized system may automatically update settings of containers to optimize their performance. It may send messages to users suggesting different usage patterns or configurations. It may automatically order components such as replacement filters or upgrades. A water testing capability may also be provided; users may be sent water test strips that can be imaged using an associated mobile device app, and results may be forwarded to the central database for analysis.

Expandable water filter reservoir

A water filtering pitcher with a pitcher with a top, a base and an inner wall surface extending between the top and the base to define an internal volume. A filter adapter is positioned within the internal volume of the pitcher, configured to couple to a water filter, and movable between a first position closer to the base and a second position closer to the top. At least one bias member configured to bias the filter upward is positioned between the filter adapter and the pitcher base. When a water filter is received through the top of the pitcher to the filter adapter and water is filtered from above the filter adapter through the water filter and into the base of the pitcher, the at least one bias member biases the filter adapter and water filter from the first position toward the second position.

Filtration device and filtration assembly

The present application discloses a filtration device. The filtration device comprises a housing, a lid and a filtration material. The housing comprises at least one outlet hole at a bottom of the housing. The lid is coupled to the housing and comprises at least one inlet hole at a top of the lid. The filtration material is disposed within the housing and comprises a top layer, a particulate treatment layer, an activated carbon fiber layer and a bottom layer. The particulate treatment layer is coupled to the top layer. The activated carbon fiber layer is coupled to the particulate treatment layer. The bottom layer is coupled between the activated carbon fiber layer and the bottom of the housing. A filtration assembly is also disclosed in the present application.

PORTABLE WATER FILTRATION APPARATUS

A portable water filtration apparatus has a top panel, a mounting surface, an electric pump mounted to the mounting surface, at least one filter, and at least one filter housing coupled to the top panel, with the at least one filter filtering water from the pump. The portable filtration apparatus has a housing, such as a bucket, to fully contain the components and which may be used for collecting either filtered or unfiltered water.

Filter housing for filter as you pour filtration

A filter housing can be configured to receive a filter media to form a filter assembly. Water filter media housings can be adapted for filter-as-you-pour filtration in the context of container (e.g., pitcher) systems where filtering is achieved as the user pours water from the container. The filter housing can have a frame and an optional casing securable about the frame. A filter assembly can include a filter media within, connected to, or associated with a filter housing. The filter media can be securable in an at least partially curved configuration and/or within, connected to, or associated with the filter housing.

Water container with floatable filter system and method

A portable drinking water filter system, such as a pitcher, having a sleeve and a floatable body including a filter opening configured to receive a water filter, the floatable body having a seal extending outward from an outer surface of the floatable body. The floatable body is disposed in a sleeve cavity such that a body seal engages the sidewall and restricts water from passing between the floatable body and the sidewall. The seal is configured to create friction with the sidewall, wherein the friction created when the floatable body rises in the sleeve is different than when the floatable body lowers in the sleeve. The friction created when the floatable body rises in the sleeve is greater than when the floatable body lowers in the sleeve, allowing the floatable body to auto-retract toward a cavity base without burping.

Water filter pitcher with sensing capabilities

A water pitcher with sensing capabilities is provided. The water pitcher includes at least a container adapted or otherwise shaped for retaining water therein, and a cover adapted to cover at least a portion of the container. The water pitcher further includes an indication assembly attached to the container and/or the cover. The indication assembly includes at least a sensor for detecting movement of contents within the water pitcher and/or movement of the pitcher upon expiration of a filter within the pitcher. Upon detecting movement of the pitcher, the sensor is configured to activate an indicator (e.g., an LED) for notifying a user of the expired filter and/or movement of the pitcher during the expiration period of the filter.

Water Pitcher Filter

A water pitcher filter is provided. The filer includes a filter body formed from a bottom case and a top cap. The bottom case is adapted to retain filtration medium therein. The top cap includes an upper surface having an air outlet, a lower surface to engage the bottom case, a sidewall extending between the upper and lower surface and around a perimeter of the top cap, a nonwoven or net portion disposed on the sidewall and/or lower surface to allow unfiltered water to pass therethrough. The top case also includes a vent tube extending between the upper and lower surface and having a vent opening into the bottom case at the lower surface. In operation water passes through the nonwoven portion and into the bottom case where the filtration medium filters the unfiltered water and disposes filtered water into a filtered water chamber of a water pitcher.
