A filter adapter removably attachable to a faucet assembly of a beverage server is disclosed. The filter adapter filters elements flowing from the beverage server and includes a body having an opening, an outlet passage, and a filter material. The filter material is seated inside the body through the opening and along the outlet passage. The filter material captures undesirable elements, thereby preventing these elements from dispensing into a beverage container.

An example water filter includes a housing defining an internal cavity, the housing comprising a head including an inlet and an outlet, and a foot positioned opposite the head. The compressible tank includes a pleated body that can compress and expand upon folding and unfolding of the pleats, respectively. The compressible tank includes a pump, a pressure sensor, and a float valve. The pump can supply the water under pressure. The pressure sensor can operate the pump based on the pressure at the outlet port. The float valve can open and close the inlet valve based on the level of the water in the body.

A water treatment apparatus management system which manages a household water treatment apparatus located at or near a place of water use, and treats water before treatment with at least one type of filter to produce treated water for the place of water use. The system includes: a filter information storage unit storing information regarding an in-service filter used in the household water treatment apparatus; an information receiver receiving information regarding performance change of the in-service filter from the household water treatment apparatus; and a water type estimation means that estimates a water type of the water before treatment based on the information regarding performance change and the information regarding the in-service filter.
