Waste processing apparatus and methods of making and use
Various aspects of this disclosure relate to toilet systems that include compositions to inhibit wastewater from freezing in a waste tank of a toilet. A first fluid treatment composition comprises a salt that is introduced into the waste tank. A second fluid treatment composition is a solid composite that also comprises a salt and that is introduced into a urinal in fluid communication with the waste tank.
Microorganism belonging to Yarrowia genus, and oil decomposition agent and oil decomposition/removal method using same
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a new microorganism that is useful for efficiently decomposing oils and fats, and a use for said microorganism. According to screening results, a new Yarrowia lipolytica having a high capacity to assimilate free fatty acids was successfully obtained. Efficient decomposition of oils and fats is achieved by causing the Yarrowia lipolytica to act under conditions in which fatty acids that are hydrolysis products of oils or fats are present, or under conditions in which oils or fats are decomposed into fatty acids and glycerol.
Sewage Pit
The invention relates to a sewage pit (1, 60) for receiving and discharging waste material, particularly domestic, medical and/or industrial waste comprising liquid and solid constituents, to the sewer (52), the sewage pit comprising: a housing (2, 3, 4) with a closable receiving space (9), wherein one or more of the walls of the housing is provided with at least one inlet (19) configured to carry the waste material into the receiving space, a flushing liquid feed (10) which is embodied to feed flushing liquid to the receiving space for bringing the waste material into suspension, and at least one outlet (29) which can be connected to the sewer and is configured to discharge the mixture of waste material and flushing liquid from the receiving space and to the sewer, at least one pump (25, 26) connectable or connected to the one or more outlets which is configured to pump the mixture which has been brought into suspension from the receiving space and to discharge the mixture via the one or more outlets.
Wastewater treatment compositions
The present invention relates to compositions containing concentrated biologically-active ingredients for treating wastewater in systems such as septic tanks, cesspools, and sewage systems.
FOG Disposal Article
In one example, an article for disposing of fat, oil, and/or grease (FOG) that may include a top opening defined by a perimeter rim configured for placement on a sink bottom surface surrounding a drain. A body may be attached to the perimeter rim, and having an exterior defined by a FOG-impermeable membrane, a portion of which may be sized to fit within the drain, and having an interior including FOG absorbent material. In another example, a container for disposing of (FOG) may include an outer shell having an at least partially hollow interior, a top opening part, a liquid impermeable bottom part, and a liquid impermeable middle part connecting and contiguous to both the top opening part and the bottom part, the top opening part comprising a rim adapted for placement on a surface surrounding a top part of a drain.
Water treatment system
A system and process for removing from an aqueous stream impurities such as grit, particulates, floating debris, suspended solids, turbidity, bacteria, fecal coliform, oil, grease, color, and the like, and for treating an unacceptable biological oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, and/or dissolved oxygen by utilizing a treatment system positioned partially in a channel adapted to a flow of the aqueous stream. The treatment system comprises a containment zone for containing the aqueous stream for treatment by at least one of traveling or stationary screen filtration, aeration, anaerobic and/or aerobic digestion, clarification, media filtration, chemical addition, disinfection, pH adjustment, particulate removal, and/or the like. A partition wall is provided to bypass untreated water such as storm water. After passing untreated waste water through the treatment zone, the treated aqueous stream may be recycled for further use or discharged to its desired destination, such as a lake, river, or ocean.
Bioreactor for Home Septic Unit
A bioreactor for home septic unit consisting of a large, multi-stage chamber wherein influent containing raw sewage including tissue and toilet paper flows through a series of treatment stages containing aeration and microbes specific for treatment of chemical waste, biological waste, ammonia, paper and paper products, and other contaminants, the bioreactor also consisting of one or more stages of filtration utilizing sand and/or other filter media.
BIOREACTOR FOR HOME SEPTIC UNIT

ODOR MASKING TABLETS
An odor masking tablet composition includes a solid single-use tablet comprising at least one base oil, a reactive agent, a base material, and an emulsifier. The tablet is packaged for individual use and transportation, or multiple tablets are packaged together. The tablets function to rapidly dissolve when deposited into toilet water and produce an active surface barrier for trapping unpleasant odors within the water. The tablets also include a scented material, and a coloring agent for changing the color of the water to which the tablet is placed.
FOG disposal article
An article for properly disposing of FOG so that it does not enter and clog a pipe of a kitchen sink drain. The article may comprise a top opening for receiving said FOG, said opening defined in one embodiment by a perimeter rim configured for placement along the bottom sink surface surrounding the drain, and a body below the perimeter rim and the top opening, the exterior of the body defined by a membrane having a shape for fitting stably within the drain. In one embodiment, the entire lower interior of the membrane body is filled with absorbent material for absorbing FOG. In one embodiment, the absorbent material may be separable from the article body, for disposal of the absorbent material without the body. In one embodiment, the body volume may be configured for receiving an amount of FOG generated by one session of home cooking.
