MICROPLASTIC SEPARATOR
The invention relates to preventing microplastics from the entering the environment. In particular the invention is directed to filtering microfibers from the waste water from washing machines as well as waste from other appliances and other sources of effluent with entrained microplastics or other microp-ollutants. A separator is provided for separating microplastics from effluent comprising; a chamber including at least one sieve structure, a shroud that acts as a vortex finder and a baffle coaxial with the shroud and projecting upwards from the lower end of the chamber, wherein the shroud has a circular lower rim and the baffle has a circular upper rim, wherein the radius of the lower rim of the shroud is greater than the radius of the upper rim of the baffle.
HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE WITH COAGULANT DOSING SYSTEM
Laundry treatment appliances for use in a typical household include a tub that has an opening to provide access to the interior and at least partially defines a treating chamber into which fabric items such as clothes, towels, or linens can be placed to undergo a washing operation. A system can be provided for recirculating wash liquid through the tub to reduce water consumption. At least one tank or reservoir and a coagulant dosing system can be included for the chemical treatment of wash water as part of the wash liquid recirculation system. The tank can also serve to separate coagulated solids from the wash water.

A wire harness assembly including a first connector, a second connector, and conductors extending between the first connector and the second connector. Contacts are provided on the second connector. The contacts have termination sections which are mounted on the second connector, compliant sections which extend from the termination sections, and substrate engagement sections which extend from the compliant sections. The substrate engagement sections have curved contact sections which are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with circuit pads of a mating printed circuit board. Embossments are provided on the curved contact sections to provide additional strength and stability to the curved contact sections.
FILTER CARTRIDGE
A filter cartridge for a household appliance, which is provided with a filter housing, the wall of which separates a housing internal side from a housing external side. A filter inlet opening which in the operation of the filter cartridge is open in relation to the external environment of the filter housing is provided, wherein a device for water conduction which comprises at least one filter chamber having at least one filter medium and terminates in a filter outlet opening for suctioning water from the filter cartridge is provided in the interior of the filter housing downstream of the filter inlet opening relative to the flow direction during operation, and wherein a filter connection element having an annular filter port which has an annular filter fixing face for the tight connection of the filter cartridge to a tank fixing face in the water tank is provided.
FILTER ELEMENT, SEALING ASSEMBLY AND COFFEE MACHINE
Provided is a filter element comprising a filter element body having a cavity, a water inlet and a water outlet, an end cap, and a perforated partition, and the perforated partition is configured to divide the filter element body into a first chamber filled with an adsorption filter material and a second chamber filled with an ion exchange filter materials. In the present disclosure, the filter element is divided into two stages, and the primary filter material and the softening filter material are filled separately, and functions of both filtration and descaling are realized, addressing the issues blocking of water and reduced water flow in the coffee machine using a PP/PE filter element. Meanwhile, reduction in water flow caused by the mixing of the filter materials and the caking of the filter material is also solved.
DESALINATION METHODS IN DESALINATION ELECTRODES
A desalination method that may be used to reduce limescale buildup in desalination electrodes. The desalination method includes providing an electrode including a first material having at least one compound of a formula before a desalination step. The formula is A.sub.xFe.sub.yCu.sub.z(CN).sub.6, where A is Na, Li or K, 0.1≤x≤2, 1≤y, and z≤2. The desalination method further includes exchanging A in A.sub.xFe.sub.yCu.sub.z(CN).sub.6 with Ca to form a second material from the first material during the desalination step.
Portable Systems and Methods for Treating Materials with an Antimicrobial Agent
A method for using a portable antimicrobial treatment system is provided. The method comprises: (i) providing water to a dilution reservoir, wherein a first flow controller controls a rate of flow of the water between a water supply and the dilution reservoir, (ii) providing a high ion concentrate to the dilution reservoir, wherein a dosing pump controls a flow rate of the ion concentrate between the metallic ion cartridge and the dilution reservoir; (iii) combining the water and the high ion concentrate into a diluted solution: (iv) providing the diluted solution to at least one application system, wherein a second flow controller control a rate of flow of the diluted solution between the dilution reservoir and the at least one application system; and (v) controlling, by an electronics control module, the first flow controller, the dosing pump, and the second flow controller.
Coffee machine filter cartridges
Exemplary embodiments of a filter cartridge for a coffee machine are disclosed. According to one exemplary embodiment, a coffee machine filter cartridge may include a filter body having a water inlet, a grate and a water outlet, and a lid held on the filter body. The water inlet is disposed around the water outlet. The water outlet connects to one end of the grate through a pipe. The other end of the grate is held on the inner wall of the filter body and comprises a cloth filter. A filter chamber between the pipe and the filter body has a descaling core. When filtering and descaling, the water flows sequentially through the water inlet, filter chamber, grate, cloth filter, pipe, and water outlet. The cartridge is structurally simple, convenient and accessible to users; preventing clogging of the internal parts of the coffee machine by slow dissolution of the descaling agent.
Water purifying apparatus and refrigerator including the same
Provided are a water purifying apparatus and a refrigerator including the same. The water purifying apparatus includes a filter configured to purify incoming water and discharge the purified water, a head in which the filter is detachably coupled and a water inlet portion and a water outlet portion are formed, and a shaft provided inside the head and rotatably mounted between the water inlet portion and the water outlet portion, the shaft being provided with a bypass flow path directly connecting the water inlet portion and the water outlet portion and a filtering flow path connected so that water flowing in through the water inlet portion is discharged to the water outlet portion via the filter.
PUSH FILTER WITH FLOATING KEY LOCK
