Provided concerns a device for treating water of the kind intended for treating running water from a domestic water supply system or other sources of pressurized water, to obtain filtered or treated water, for example, of drinking water quality.

Multi-path manifold with flow switches and fluid mixers
11130104 · 2021-09-28 ·

A system for distributing ozonated fluid includes a manifold that contains a plurality of fluid paths and has one or more ozone intake ports. The ozone intake ports are fluidically coupled to one or more ozone output ports of one or more ozone supply units. The manifold includes a plurality of flow switches configured to transmit control signals to one or more controllers of each ozone supply unit in response to sensing a flow of water through the fluid paths in order to cause the ozone supply units to generate ozone. The manifold also includes a plurality of fluid mixers that are fluidically coupled to the ozone intake ports and configured to introduce the ozone generated by the ozone supply units into the water flowing through the fluid paths.

PROCESS FLUID MONITORING SYSTEM
20210294361 · 2021-09-23 ·

A monitoring assembly includes a diverter, a fluid delivery network, an analysis subsystem, and a pump. The diverter be configured to fluidly couple to a single port of a process pipe. The network can be configured to receive a process fluid including an incumbent additive from the diverter. The analysis subsystem can be configured to receive the process fluid from the network, to measure a predetermined property of the received process fluid within a sensing chamber, and to output a signal representing the measured property. The pump can be configured to urge the process fluid from the analysis subsystem to the diverter via the network. The assembly can also include a conditioning subsystem configured to treat the process fluid with a process additive prior to measurement. The assembly can further include a filtration subsystem configured to filter the process fluid prior to measurement.

Process for monitoring the concentration of bacteria in a water distribution network

A process for monitoring the concentration of bacteria in the water of a water distribution network, wherein the process includes the following steps: measuring the concentration of bacteria in the water by means of a first sensor positioned at a first location in the water distribution network, determining a variable instantaneous value of the expected concentration of bacteria in the water at the first location as a function of a parameter characteristic of the water, comparing the concentration of bacteria in the water measured by the first sensor to the variable instantaneous value, corrective action acting on the concentration of bacteria in the water if the concentration of bacteria in the water measured by the first sensor exeeds the variable instantaneous value. A device for monitoring the concentration of bacteria in the water of a water distribution network is also provided.

CONTROL OF AN ELECTRIC WATER HEATER AS PER A LOAD SHEDDING REQUEST SIGNAL AND A SALUBRITY INDEX

A system and a method for controlling an electrical water heater as per a load shedding request signal are disclosed. A temperature sensor is positioned so as to measure a water temperature in a lower area of a tank of the water heater to be controlled. A controller continuously determines a salubrity index of the water heater as a function of the temperature measured by the sensor and a time measurement, and decides to interrupt an electrical power supply of the water heater through a switch so as to interrupt or not interrupt an operation of the water heater upon the load shedding request signal and only if the salubrity index meets a preestablished criterion.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL LEAD ANTI-DISSOLUTION COMPOSITIONS

A multi-functional lead anti-dissolution composition based on 100 parts by weight consisting of: a succinic acid in an amount of from 30 to 70 percent by weight; and a tartaric acid in an amount of from 70 to 30 percent by weight. The composition does not include any phosphates, thereby not contributing to the phosphate footprint in the water supply. The composition includes organic acids that have anti-inflammatory properties in addition to reducing lead dissolution in drinking water.

Automatic descaling system

An automated descaling system can be integrated into a tankless water heater or can be a separate system that is attached to a tankless water heater. The automatic descaling system comprises a cleaning media chamber and a four way valve with a motor. The descaling system can be set on an automatic cleaning schedule.

In-house closed water filter system to remove carcinogenic 1,4-dioxane and other contaminants to purify drinking water
20210276897 · 2021-09-09 ·

An in-house closed water filter system to remove carcinogenic 1,4-dioxane and other contaminants to purify drinking water. A resin is engineered by a method developed to identify 1,4-dioxane and remove it using direct photolysis and advanced oxidation processes involving UV/H.sub.2O.sub.2/Fe(II). The resin is coupled with granulated activated charcoal to create an in-house filter system.

IRRIGATION FILTER SYSTEM
20210137032 · 2021-05-13 · ·

An irrigation filter system and method is provided. The system may have a body and a filtration subsystem and may separate fluid from detritus carried by the fluid. The fluid may be released onto a crop, while the detritus is collected by the filtration subsystem. A drain fixture may be operated to release the detritus from the irrigation filter system in response to at least one of the pressure of the fluid flowing in the system and gravity. In this manner, the detritus may be released without requiring the system to be shut down and/or disassembled.
