RODENT TRAP
A rodent trap including a housing, an inner channel, a spring-loaded killing mechanism including at least one spring and at least one striker plate, a reloader, a trigger mechanism, and a bait. The housing includes an opening into the inner channel and one or more sensors arranged at/in the inner channel and/or the opening for triggering the trigger mechanism if a rodent is detected. The striker plate is configured to move between two positions by means of the spring, a first position in which at least a part of the striker plate is arranged at a first side of the inner channel and/or opening leaving the inner channel and/or opening open for passage.

ELECTRIC RAT KILLER
The present invention discloses an electric rat, killer, wherein a box body is of a hollow box body structure, the box body is provided with unidirectional doors on two sides, an infrared sensor inside, a bottom plate at the bottom and a top plate at the top, and the box body fixes the top plate and the bottom plate through buckling pieces; and a high-voltage module is arranged in the top plate, the infrared sensor detects a rat entering signal and transmits the signal to the high-voltage module to perform electric shock action, and a control key can be pressed to kill a rat by a manual electric shock mode. According to the present invention, the unidirectional doors are arranged on the two sides of the box body, thereby preventing a rat from escaping after entering the box body; the infrared sensor, a circuit board and an electrified net are provided for cooperation at the same time to kill a rat through electric shock, so that energy conservation and higher efficiency are achieved; and the box body fixes the bottom plate and the top plate through the buckling pieces, thereby facilitating disassembling and rat cleaning. Therefore, the present invention has the characteristic of energy conservation, capability of trapping rats continuously and higher efficiency.

System and method for retrofitting rodent traps for remote monitoring
A method for converting a conventional manually monitored capture-and-release rodent trap of a type having a box-shaped container with opposed one-way entry corridors communicating with a capture chamber into a remotely-monitored rodent trap. In one aspect, the method includes attaching a smart-sensor to the lid of the trap and press-fitting a bracket having a rodent opening into the space between the one-way entry corridors such that the rodent opening in the bracket restricts movement of a rodent into the capture chamber to a pathway in sufficient proximity for detection by the smart-sensor and signaling to a remote monitoring location.
