Systems and methods for displaying art in a manner which resists tipping from external forces while preserving artistic impression are disclosed. An art piece includes an inner core extending from a bottom of a display portion and an outer stabilizing core formed about the inner core. A base includes a recess located within a housing. The recess is configured to snugly receive the stabilizing core. A number of illumination devices are located within the recess and electrically connected to a power supply for illuminating the art piece. In some embodiments, holes may be formed in the base for fastening the base to a surface.

GLASS TUBE ELEMENT WITH IMPROVED QUALITY
20210310587 · 2021-10-07 · ·

A glass tube element having hollow cylindrical section that has a shell enclosing a lumen and extends along a main extension and an optical delay of a light ray. The shell has a surface facing away from the lumen. The optical delay has values that all fall within a range having a size of between 3 and 30 nm. The optical delay being an optical measurement of the glass tube element by the light ray extending along a measurement path in a direction of perpendicular to the main extension and tangent to a surface of the shell. The measurement path touches the surface for different measurements at different positions each having a different azimuth angle within a cylindrical coordinate system fixedly attached to the glass tube element and having an origin on a center axis of the glass tube element.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FLUSH VEHICLE GLAZING

Method for manufacturing a flush vehicle glazing that allows to achieve a perfect alignment between the adjacent sections of the glazing vehicle area in the final assembled product by providing a vehicle glass panel which comprise at least two adjacent sections of the vehicle glazing area in one single panel, followed by bending the vehicle glass panel and LASER cutting before cooling thereof.

GLASS ROLL MANUFACTURING METHOD
20210130217 · 2021-05-06 ·

A method of manufacturing a glass roll includes separating unnecessary portions from a glass ribbon by cutting the glass ribbon along a longitudinal direction while conveying the glass ribbon. The method also includes passing the glass ribbon, from which the unnecessary portions are separated, through a looseness conveyance region on a conveyance path where the glass ribbon is loosened, and taking up the glass ribbon around a roll core at a downstream end of the conveyance path. A suction conveyor is provided between the looseness conveyance region and the downstream end on the conveyance path. While the glass ribbon is conveyed by the suction conveyor, the glass ribbon is tensioned between the suction conveyor and the downstream end on the conveyance path along with taking up the glass ribbon around the roll core.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A THIN GLASS RIBBON, AND THIN GLASS RIBBON PRODUCED ACCORDING TO SUCH METHOD

An improved method and an improved apparatus are provided for producing a thin glass ribbon, which provide borders at the edges of the ribbon. The edges formed are of high mechanical quality and a formation of new secondary borders after the severing or at least the thickness of such secondary borders is reduced compared to the original borders. The method includes drawing the thin glass ribbon from a molten glass or from a preform, severing the borders, and cooling the resulting glass ribbon. The severing is effected at a location along the moving direction of the thin glass ribbon and at a time at which during the cooling of the thin glass ribbon the viscosity of the glass is in a range from 10.sup.7 dPa.Math.s to 10.sup.11 dPa.Math.s, so that the edges of the thin glass ribbon newly produced by the severing of the borders are rounded off.

GLASS PRODUCTION APPATATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING GLASS

A glass production apparatus producing continuously curved glass for covers and containers includes a crucible, a calender device, a cutting device, a molding device, and a crystallizing device. The crucible melts glass raw material and outputs a glass melt to calender device. The calender device rolls and presses the glass melt to prepare a glass belt with a preset temperature. The cutting device cuts the glass belt with the preset temperature into glass members. The molding device include at least one molding mold and a manipulator. Each of the at least one molding mold curves at least one portion of the glass member with the preset temperature to prepare a curved glass member. The manipulator transfers the curved glass member to the crystallizing device, the crystallizing device crystallizes the curved glass member to prepare a curved crystalline glass member. A method for manufacturing such glass is also provided.
