An extender for an outerwear is described. The extender includes a first section and a second section. The first section provides a tapered first side and a substantially straight second side. The second section provides a tapered first side and a substantially straight second side. The extender also includes a fastening arrangement adapted to removably secure the second side of the first section to the second side of the second section. The extender also includes an anchoring arrangement arranged on the first side of the first section and the first side of the second section. The anchoring arrangement is adapted to removably secure the first section and the second section to first and second seams of the outerwear.

A sweatshirt having a smoking apparatus as part of the sweatshirt, allowing users to smoke out of the sweatshirt comprises a garment body having a neck opening and sleeves and an elongated cord for tightening the sweatshirt hood around the users head and neck. A hollow tube is positioned inside of the elongated cord. The elongated tube has a smoking apparatus secured thereto which may be a pipe, a vaporizer, an atomizer, a pre-filled electronic cigarette or other apparatus for smoking.

Disclosed is an outwear garment including a housing configured to fit around a human upper torso, the housing having a detachable inner and including a pair of sleeves to receive arms of the human, wherein each sleeve has a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the housing further having a back portion to cover the back of the human, a left side portion to cover from front the left side of the human and a right side portion to cover from front the right side of the human; at least one glove pocket configured near the distal end of each sleeve of the housing, the glove pocket having a zipper opening; and an elastic cord loop sewn in the lining; at least one glove configured to store inside each glove pocket; a hook attached to the glove and further configured to detachably attached with the elastic cord loop of the glove pocket; a hood having detachable inner lining detachably attached to the housing for covering the head of the human; a collar detachably attached to the hood to snap around the neck of the human; and an elastic face mask having a left end and a right end, the left end of the elastic face mask sewn into the inner lining of the hood and the right end of the elastic face mask looped to detachably attached to the inner lining, wherein the elastic face mask looped over the head to cover the mouth of the human.

A detachable bag for holding objects includes a detachable front panel, a central hollow compartment, a detachable back panel, a detachable hood, and at least two shoulder straps. The detachable front panel includes a fastening member positioned along a perimeter of the detachable front panel for fastening the detachable front panel to the central hollow compartment. The central hollow compartment accommodates multiple objects, for example, books, etc. The central hollow compartment includes fastening members positioned along opposing perimeters of the central hollow compartment. An apparel item for an upper torso of a wearer having a pocket structure affixed to an inner-facing surface of apparel item. The pocket structure is sized to be able to receive and store the apparel item when the apparel item is not being worn by a wearer, in what is referred to as a stowed configuration. The apparel item may be formed from a lightweight material, such that when the apparel item is in the stowed configuration, the apparel item may be easily carried in the hand of a wearer.

The present invention is directed toward a hood adjusting mechanism for improving the fit and adjustability of a hood over a wearer's head when worn by the wearer and may include a hood portion with a generally circumferential opening, a first and second aperture, and a first and second channel. In addition, the hood adjusting mechanism may further include a first and second continuous cord that extend through the first and second channels, exit at the first and second apertures, and are releasably secured by a tightening mechanism. The hood adjusting mechanism may be included as part of an apparel item with a body portion, such as a jacket or a coat.

Headgear for a shielding garment for operating on components exposed to high voltage, or for operating at a safe distance proximate to high voltage parts, or for activities involving exposure to high electric and/or electromagnetic fields at any frequency and voltage is disclosed. The headgear comprises a cover element which is configured to cover the head of an operator and has an opening at least at an upper portion of the operator's face. The headgear further comprises a transparent face shield made of an electrically conductive fabric. The face shield is removably coupled to the cover element to close the opening and is electrically connected to the shielding garment. The fabric has a density ranging from 25 to 40 g/m.sup.2 and comprises a plurality of yarns having a yarn count ranging from 10 to 30 deniers, and each comprising a respective core externally covered with a coating made of a conductive metal.

Outerwear, such as thermally insulated jackets and pants are disclosed. The outerwear may include insulative panels that are positioned, oriented, sized, and shaped according to a body mapping. The body mapping may indicate areas where insulative material should be reduced to improve the mobility of a wearer of the outerwear.

An upper body article of clothing has a hood and a pump for filling an airtight inflatable inner space in the hood with air or other gas. The inflatable inner space extends along parts of the hood around the neck and over the head of a person wearing the article.
