Athletic cap system
A generally rectangular shade flap has a lower edge, an upper edge, a left side edge, and a right side edge. A generally circular opening extends through the shade flap and is spaced from the upper edge by a front distance thereby creating a forward section. A generally cylindrical headband has an upper end and a lower end separated by a height. The lower end of the headband is coupled to the shade flap adjacent to the circular opening.

Multi-functional Headwear with Tubular Top attached to a brim or visor
Multifunctional headwear comprised of a pliable fabric tubular top attached to a brim or visor. The headwear has a compatible attachment apparatus connected to the tubular top and the brim or visor respectively, so the parts can be quickly and easily interchanged to accommodate rapid changes in environments and style situations. This headwear allows for customizing the fit of the tubular top while attached to a brim or visor, by twisting, knotting, draping or folding it to offer optimal comfort and protection while on the head. The brim has a slit in the rear where the excess fabric of the tubular top can pass through and be held in place. Likewise, the visor has a elastic fabric tab attached to hold excess fabric from the top in place. The pliable brims, visors and tubular top make the headwear easy to pack and fit into pockets and compact bags without compromising the hat's shape and integrity.
LOW PROFILE BODY PROTECTION DEVICE
A body protection device having a clothing component and one or more thin protective components provided with the clothing component. The thin protective components provide protection to a wearer of the clothing component. Advantageously, the thin protective components are substantially hidden so that the clothing component can look to others like a regular item of clothing. In one embodiment, the clothing component is a hat having at least one thin force absorbing member.
Hat with flex to store or use eyeshield
An eyeshield made of flexible transparent plastic is attached to the underside of a curved brim of an article of headwear by a connection which will let the eyeshield flex from an open, viewable position to a closed hidden position. By utilizing the formed curvature of the brim, the eyeshield can be flexed into a concaved closed position against the underside of the brim. By manually pulling the rear, unattached edge of the eyeshield down from the stored position, the eyeshield will flex into a convex shape and lock into an open, viewable position perpendicular to the brim of the article of headwear.
UV ray-blocking headwear
The UV ray-blocking headwear is adapted to be an apparel item. The UV ray-blocking headwear is adapted to be worn on the head. The UV ray-blocking headwear is a UV blocking sunshield that is attaches to the head such that UV radiation is prevented from reaching the head, ears, or nape of the neck. The UV ray-blocking headwear is attached to a headband that is worn on the head such that a sunshield is raised above the head thereby creating a space for air flow to provide for the comfort of the user. The UV ray-blocking headwear comprises a headband, a plurality of struts and a sunshield.

A protective clothing device having an article of clothing having an inner layer and an outer layer is disclosed. The protective clothing device may have at least one thin force absorbing member coupled to the inner layer or outer layer of the article of clothing. In one embodiment, the protective clothing device may be a protective hat.
Lighted solar hat
Headgear as provided herein includes a light source for providing light away therefrom, a rechargeable battery for providing power to the light source, and a solar panel for recharging the rechargeable battery mounted thereto. The headgear can include a housing configured to at least partially receive the light source, the solar panel, and the rechargeable battery therein. The housing is configured to mount to the hat and orient the electronic components in desired configurations.
