A head garment, which may comprise a nose covering portion, a head covering portion, and/or a neck covering portion. The nose covering portion may comprise a nose bridge portion, an upper lip portion, and a throughhole The head covering portion may be affixed to the nose covering portion and positioned to, when the head garment is worn by a user, cover the user's forehead and the back of the user's head. The neck covering portion may comprise an upper edge with a fastener portion that is configured to engage with a corresponding fastener portion on the lower edge of the nose covering portion, to releasably affix the lower edge of the nose covering portion to the upper edge of the neck covering portion, and disengage from the corresponding fastener portion on the lower edge of the nose covering portion, to form a mouth opening between the two edges.

Embodiments of The Hover Cover are comprised of one central rod, a left middle rod, a right middle rod, a left-side rod, a right-side rod, a left-side arm, a right-side arm, a central support, a crossbar, a brim-support, a brim, a hat cover, and a sizer. The central rod, the left middle rod, and the right middle rod span nearly the length of The Hover Cover and are connected on the back side of The Hover Cover to the back fitting and on the front side of The Hover Cover to the brim-support. The left-side rod and right-side rod extend from the back fitting to the brim-support on their respective sides of The Hover Cover. The crossbar transects The Hover Cover and is integrally formed with the brim-support. Connected to the crossbar is the central support. The brim extends forward from the brim-support.

An adjustable, configurable hat is described that can be configured to accommodate a variety of hairstyles. In general, the adjustable, configurable hat has a crown member, an enlarged opening and a panel that is releasably attachable to the crown member. In one example, the adjustable, configurable hat generally has an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, the panel is releasably attached to the crown member by the fastening mechanisms, covers the enlarged opening and generally has the appearance of a hat that is not adjustable and configurable. In the open configuration, the panel is releasably attached to the inside of the crown member by the fastening members such that it is not visible when the hat is worn and the enlarged opening allows the wearer of the hat to wear a variety of hairstyles while wearing the hat. In both configurations, the fastening mechanisms and the panel are hidden by the crown member. In another example, the crown is split down the back center to have a left and right half and the hat can be configured to its open configuration by separating the left half from the right half and folding each half inside two respective pockets inside the hat.

Hats and methods of making the hats. The hats include a closed front and an open back. A band extends around the back to attach the hat to the user. The band is constructed to securely attach the hat to the user, and also have an attractive appearance. Further, the band is adjustable to accommodate a variety of different users. The band includes a variety of materials that are secured in an overlapping arrangement with extensions.

An adjustable, configurable hat is described that can be configured to accommodate a variety of hairstyles. In general, the adjustable, configurable hat has a crown member, an enlarged opening and a panel that is releasably attachable to the crown member. Embodiments are disclosed for headwear configured to accommodate a ponytail of a wearer. In some examples, a headwear includes a crown comprising a first crown portion terminating at a first edge at a rear of the crown and a second crown portion terminating at a second edge at the rear of the crown, with the second crown portion overlapping the first crown portion at the rear of the crown. Each of the first crown portion and second crown portion may be coupled along a bottom circumferential edge to a crown band. The first crown portion, the second crown portion, the first edge, and the second edge may be flexible and/or stretchable to enable access to an opening in the headwear, the opening framed by the crown band, the first edge, and the second edge and configured to accommodate a ponytail of a wearer of the headwear.

Hats including hair ports are disclosed herein. One hat includes a first portion, a second portion, an opening positioned at a rear portion of the hat between the first portion and the second portion, and a coupling mechanism. The coupling mechanism includes a first component positioned on the first portion and a second component positioned on the second portion, in which the first component and the second component of the coupling mechanism are configured to detachably engage each other across the opening between the first portion and the second portion, and a first hair port and a second hair port are created in the opening at the rear portion of the hat when the first and second components of the coupling mechanism are engaged with each other across the opening between the first portion and the second portion.

The present invention generally relates to a bespoke cap for covering and gathering dreadlocks. More specifically, two distinct fabric patterns are layered to form a cap. The first layer's fabric pattern is a crown having a front facing brim and a half oval cut into its rear surface. The crown provides a deep volume to accommodate a large amount of dreadlocks. The second layer is a five piece fabric pattern that is sewn onto and over the first layer. Both layers combine to provide an adjustable oval like aperture at the back of the cap, which allow dreadlocks to be covered and gathered naturally without being damaged. Top panels associated with the second layer have rear closing straps that cinch the aperture at an angle. Each top panel stretches and folds over the first layer's front facing brim to its underside, providing a stylish flat-cap appearance.

A head cover (800) has selectable size and location of at least one opening (812, 814) for exposure of a portion of a user's hair to an external hair treatment environment. The cover includes an impermeable outer surface that protects hair thereunder from an external hair treatment environment. A main opening (802) in the cover receives a user's head inserted into the cover. An opening (812, 814) on the cover, separate from the main opening, has an opening size selectable from selectable sizes and has an opening location selectable from selectable locations on the protective head cover. The opening (812, 814) selectively exposes a portion of the user's hair from under the cover to an external hair treatment environment while the cover protecting another portion of the user's hair from the external hair treatment environment.
