Various embodiments of devices, systems and methods for using a cap to unobtrusively monitor a patient's vital signs are disclosed. More specifically, a stocking cap includes at least one primary compartment configured for receiving a first biometric sensor, at least one third compartment configured for receiving a cartridge, at least one fourth compartment configured for receiving a transmitter, at least one channel configured for routing at least one connector, and at least one fifth compartment configured for receiving an antenna. A system for use with such a cap includes a sensor which outputs vitals, a cartridge configured to receive the vitals from the sensor, process the received vitals, and output the processed vitals to a server. The server providing processed vital signals for use and display on a tablet or other user presentation and user interface device.

Protective helmet with an antenna

The invention relates to a protective helmet, and in particular, to a protective motorcycle helmet, comprising an antenna (1) for radio transmission, an outer shell (2) for distributing impact forces, an inner layer (3), which is accommodated by the outer shell (2), for damping impact forces, and a socket (4), which is firmly connected to the outer shell (2), for contacting a digital device (5) for wireless communication, wherein the socket (4), when contacting the digital device (5), electrically connects the latter to the antenna (1) for wireless communication. The protective helmet is characterized in that at least a partial layer of the outer shell (2) is disposed between the antenna (1) and the inner layer (3).

Visibility-enhancing device for textile or fabric attachment

Disclosed herein is a visibility-enhancing device that requires the presence of a textile or fabric having an internal surface and an external surface; and a flexible and conformable visible light source apparatus attached to the textile or fabric, wherein the visible light source apparatus comprises: at least one visible light source that is positioned towards the internal surface of the textile or fabric and/or is positioned to provide light at an angle that is substantially perpendicular to the internal surface of the textile or fabric; at least two conductive members having a first end and a second end.

A garment includes a hood portion and a sleeve portion detachably engaged at its proximal end with the hood portion, e.g., by snaps. Each sleeve of the sleeve portion has a hand pocket at its distal end that a person wearing the garment can insert her hands into when the sleeve portion is attached to the hood portion. Also, each sleeve portion at its proximal end is open so that when detached from the hood portion, a person can place her arms into the sleeve portion.

TRANSCRANIAL LASER THERAPY FOR TREATMENT OF ACUTE ISCHEMIC STROKE
20190070431 · 2019-03-07 ·

An apparatus and method of use for a comprehensive transcranial low-level light therapy for use with ischemic brain tissue using a multitude of polychromatic Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) embedded into a flexible head covering that stretches securely around the patient's cranium to bath the entire cranium cavity in a variable frequency, variable power density light spectrum, maximizing all beneficial effects to the cellular tissues whether or not they are specifically deprived of blood from the ischemic stroke event. The bulbs covering the n-p junction of the semiconductor LEDs directly contact the patient's cranial skin to maximize the depth of penetration of the wavelengths into the brain's cortex cells. By using many individual point-source LEDs emitting all around the cranium, greater therapeutic benefit can be achieved as more of the cortex tissues are irradiated.

Headwear positionable upon a head of a wearer has a front, a back, sides, and a generally circular open bottom. A band has a first section extending downwardly from the side of the headwear. The first section is folded upwardly and terminates in a second section with a free end. A snap separably couples the free end of the band to a section of the band above the bend thereby creating a chamber. A vibrator is positioned in the chamber over the temple of the wearer. A tilt switch is positioned in the chamber and is operatively coupled to the vibrator whereby a nodding wearer will tilt the tilt switch to activate the vibrator and awaken the wearer. Batteries operatively couple the vibrator and the tilt switch.
