MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR EYEGLASSES AND HATS
A hat has two flexible tethers each connected to a different temple arm of a pair of eyeglasses, with the tethers removably or permanently fastened to a bill of the hat. The two tethers are on opposing sides of the bill, with a first tether end of each tether preferably permanently connected a bottom side of the bill by stitching or a rivet. A second end of each tether has an opening sized to receive a temple arm passing therethrough during use and may have a slide lock to change the opening size to cinch the opening and second tether end tight against the temple arm. The stitching or rivet on the top of the bill may be covered by a top layer of material on the bill, or it may pass through that top layer of material. The rivet connection is useful with hard hats.
APPARATUS FOR RETRACTABLE TETHERING AND ATTACHMENT TO AND BETWEEN HEADGEAR AND EYEWEAR AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Embodiments of the disclosure include an integrated eyewear and headgear system, including retrofitting existing headgear and eyewear, allowing the eyewear to remain attached, affixed to, or connected with headgear while not in use (not covering the eyes), as well as when in use (covering the eyes). A headgear and eyewear system may comprise eyewear configured to be worn on the face of a user; headgear configured to be worn on the head of the user; and at least one retaining mechanism configured to attach the eyewear to the headgear, wherein the eyewear comprises a first position in front of the user's eyes, wherein the eyewear comprises a second position upon the headgear and not in front of the user's eyes, and wherein the retaining mechanism is configured to retain the eyewear with respect to the headgear in at least one of the first position and the second position.
EYEWEAR RETAINER
Embodiments are disclosed for headwear including an eyewear retaining pocket. For example, the headwear may include a headwear body and one or more slits disposed on a side panel of the crown, each slit providing access to a pocket formed in the side panel of the crown, the pocket including one or more strips of a retaining material coupled to an inner surface of the pocket.
Headgear configured for positioning of spectacles
Technologies are described for methods and devices for positioning spectacles. The headgear has a first extending portion configured to extend under a chin, a second extending portion configured for extending about a forward portion of a head, and a third extending portion configured for extending about a reward portion of the head. A first opening is in the second extending portion or third extending portion and a second opening is in the second extending portion or third extending portion. The first opening is to receive a first eyeglass temple on a first side of the head and the second opening is configured and disposed to receive a second eyeglass temple on a second side of the head.
Hat with flex to store or use eyeshield
An eyeshield made of flexible transparent plastic is attached to the underside of a curved brim of an article of headwear by a connection which will let the eyeshield flex from an open, viewable position to a closed hidden position. By utilizing the formed curvature of the brim, the eyeshield can be flexed into a concaved closed position against the underside of the brim. By manually pulling the rear, unattached edge of the eyeshield down from the stored position, the eyeshield will flex into a convex shape and lock into an open, viewable position perpendicular to the brim of the article of headwear.
SPECIALIZED SWIM CAP FOR WEARERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Individuals with special needs often struggle to put on swim caps as they may lack dexterity, strength, or coordination to pull the cap over their ears. An improved swim cap to aid such wearers includes a swim cap body to encapsulate an upper head area and ears of a wearer, a first ring near a right ear area of the cap, and a second ring near a left ear area the body. A reinforcing band is attached on an interior of the swim cap body, wherein ends of the band connect to the first ring and the second ring. The rings allow for easy gripping of the swim cap to easily pull the cap over the wearer's head and ears.
Eyewear retainer
Embodiments are disclosed for headwear including an eyewear retaining pocket. For example, the headwear may include a headwear body including a crown, a hat brim extending from the crown, and one or more slits disposed on a side panel of the crown, each slit providing access to a pocket formed in the side panel of the crown, the pocket including one or more strips of a retaining material coupled to an inner surface of the pocket.
FLIP-UP EYESHIELD ASSEMBLY
An eyeshield assembly configured to couple to a brim of a head covering includes a pivot arm with a latch surface. The pivot arm is configured to move between a latched position, when the eyeshield assembly is in a use position, and a released position, when the eyeshield assembly is in a non-use position. The eyeshield assembly also includes a latch arm with a distal end configured to receive the latch surface of the pivot arm when the pivot arm is in the latched position. Additionally, the eyeshield assembly includes a hinge assembly operably coupled to the pivot arm and including a biasing element. The biasing element is configured to pivot the pivot arm relative to the latch arm to move the pivot arm from the latched position to the released position without human intervention.
METHOD OF PRODUCING PROTECTIVE GEAR
The invention relates to the field of producing protective gear and can be used by a wide range of specialists performing various outdoor tasks in the summer season, particularly cutting grass. It is also suitable for ordinary individuals suffering from allergic reactions to poplar or dandelion down. The technical result of the invention is that of overcoming the visual hindrance caused by a mesh in the prototype. It also reduces the discomfort caused by prior art protective gear by reducing the weight of the gear, and rendering it more compact and easy to use. Furthermore, the present protective gear protects the ears and neck and is suitable as a means for fully protecting all parts of the head and neck of the user, and can also be used as protective gear for ordinary individuals suffering from allergic reactions to poplar or dandelion down by preventing down from entering the nose and mouth. This technical result is achieved by means of the claimed method of producing protective gear, in which a mesh is used which entirely covers the face, said method being characterized in that the mesh is shaped to cover the entire head and is long enough to cover the neck, and at least one cutout is provided in the mesh in the shape of eyeglass lenses, wherein the edge of an aperture in the cutout is connected to an elastic material in which an indentation is provided, the size of which is selected to be sufficient for the outer edges of a lens to be inserted therein.
