COATED GLASS SHEET AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The coated glass sheet of the present invention includes: a glass sheet; and a coating film provided on at least one principal surface of the glass sheet and having a smooth surface. The coating film includes: isolated closed pores present within the coating film; and a matrix. The coating film is substantially free of open pores open at the surface of the coating film. For the coated glass sheet of the present invention, a transmittance gain is 2.5% or more, the transmittance gain being calculated by subtracting an average transmittance of the glass sheet as determined by applying light having wavelengths of 380 to 1100 nm to the glass sheet in the absence of the coating film on the surface of the glass sheet from an average transmittance of the coated glass sheet as determined by applying light having the wavelengths to the coated glass sheet from a side on which the coating film lies.

Slip agent for protecting glass
This disclosure features use of a paper or polymer film that includes a slip agent that can transfer to its surfaces. Once the paper or film is pressed against a glass sheet, this will leave a thin surface roughness of slip agent that can prevent or reduce glass surface scratches from other surfaces or particles during shipping or finishing (e.g., cutting to size, conveyance of glass), thereby improving the yield of glass shipments between glass forming plants and customers. The thin discontinuous layer of slip agent remaining on the glass surface can be washed off easily in subsequent washing processes. The paper or film can have the slip agent imbibed within the paper or coated on it as a surface member.
SCRATCH-RESISTANT ARTICLES WITH A GRADIENT LAYER
Embodiments of this disclosure pertain to articles that exhibit scratch-resistance and improved optical properties. In some examples, the article exhibits a color shift of about 2 or less, when viewed at an incident illumination angle in the range from about 0 degrees to about 60 degrees from normal under an illuminant. In one or more embodiments, the articles include a substrate, and an optical film disposed on the substrate. The optical film includes a scratch-resistant layer and a refractive index gradient. In one or more embodiments, the refractive index includes a refractive index that increases from a first surface at the interface between the substrate and the optical film to a second surface. The refractive index gradient may be formed from a compositional gradient and/or a porosity gradient.

GRAPHENE-CERAMIC HYBRID COATING LAYER, AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
Disclosed are a graphene-ceramic hybrid coating layer formed from a graphene-ceramic hybrid sol solution including graphene (RGO: reduced graphene oxide) and a ceramic sol, wherein the graphene content in the graphene-ceramic hybrid coating layer is about 0.001 wt % to about 1.8 wt % based on the total weight of the graphene-ceramic hybrid coating layer, and a method for preparing the same.
METHOD FOR DEVELOPING A COATING HAVING A HIGH LIGHT TRANSMISSION AND/OR A LOW LIGHT REFLECTION
A method for developing a coating having a high light transmission and/or a low light reflection is provided. The method relates to a process for developing a coating with a high light transmission and/or a low light reflection, where the coating is deposited on a substrate. The coating is deposited as a mixed coating comprising a material A and a material B, where the coating is developed to have a coating thickness profile in which the lowest proportion of the material B is on the substrate surface and the highest proportion of coating material is on the coating surface. The material B is at least partially removed from the coating after deposition of the coating on the substrate.

Method and system for depositing thin film on substrate
A method and a system for depositing a thin film with a thickness under 10 m. The method includes submerging a substrate in a precursor liquid in a deposition vessel having an inlet pipe and outlet pipe and a substrate holder that suspends the substrate inside the deposition vessel at an immersion depth. The outlet pipe is situated at a first height lower than the immersion depth, while the inlet pipe is connected above it, allowing for controlled filling and draining, managed by a drain valve. The excess precursor liquid is discharged from the substrate by gravity to a collection vessel, creating a uniform layer. This layer is then dried in a drying chamber, after which one side of the substrate is cleared to leave a single film which is then heated providing thin film formation.
