Directional lock for interface headgear arrangement
A directional lock or a headgear or interface assembly has one or more directional locks that include a catch arrangement for initiating or assisting in movement of a lock member of the direction lock. In some configurations, the catch arrangement assists movement of the lock member in only a portion of a range of travel of the lock member. In some configurations, the directional lock has a housing and a sleeve and the catch arrangement has a catch arm carried by the sleeve. The catch arm includes a catch end that contacts the lock member, which can be a lock washer in some configurations.
Modular helmet interface with threaded insert
A helmet mount system for attaching a device to a helmet comprises a threaded interface assembly having an outer portion and a threaded insert received within a cavity formed in the outer portion. The outer portion has an inward facing surface configured to receive an adhesive layer for coupling the inward facing surface to a surface of the helmet. In a further aspect, a ballistic helmet having the helmet mount system herein is provided, wherein the helmet mount system does not penetrate a ballistic layer of the ballistic shell.
Single actuation goggle positioning mounting assembly
A mounting device having a mounting assembly for mounting a pair of goggles to a helmet is provided. The mounting assembly is configured to provide at least three degrees of freedom of movement using one or more actuation mechanisms for locking and unlocking a position of the mounting device. The number of actuation mechanisms is less than a number of degrees of freedom. In some aspects, the number of actuation mechanisms is one. A rotation base connects the mounting assembly to the helmet, and a goggle linkage connects the mounting assembly to the goggles. Various single actuation mechanisms, including a sliding mechanism, a friction-based wire/brake mechanism, and a floating friction brake mechanism, are provided.
Rail For Mounting Accessories to a Helmet
A mounting rail assembly comprises a rail configured to be coupled to a helmet. The rail may include a rear surface and a front surface with a mounting groove extending along a length of the front surface. The mounting groove may be open outwardly from a front surface of the rail and be configured to couple to a first accessory device at two or more positions along the length of the rail. A recess may be proximate an edge of the mounting rail assembly. The recess may be open generally perpendicular to the mounting groove and configured to receive a second accessory device. At least a portion of the recess may be positioned between the mounting groove and the rear surface of the rail.
Strap adjustments via sensors
Example implementations relate to a display and strap with sensors. In some examples, an apparatus may comprise a strap, a pressure sensor coupled to the strap, and a display coupled to the strap. In some examples, the apparatus may include a tensioner mechanism coupled to the strap and a motor coupled to the tensioner mechanism. The motor may actuate the tensioner mechanism to adjust the strap to a particular amount of tension, and the particular amount of tension may be based on an amount of pressure detected by the pressure sensor.
HELMET MOUNTING UNIT COMPRISED OF LINKS
A link-based helmet mounting unit for attaching accessories onto a helmet is provided, the helmet mounting unit comprising a plurality of links connected to one another, to enable length adjustment, as well as versatility with respect to replacement, location and type of accessory adaptors that are to be carried by the link-based helmet mounting unit.
HELMET PROVIDED WITH AN ACCESSORY FASTENING ASSEMBLY
A helmet is provided, which includes a helmet shell and a fastening assembly. The fastening assembly has a mounting fixture releasably connected to the helmet shell and a release mechanism operatively connectable to the mounting fixture, where connection of the release mechanism to the mounting fixture secures the mounting fixture to the helmet shell, and disconnection of the release mechanism from the mounting fixture enables disconnection of the mounting fixture from the helmet shell.
Hard Hat Lamp Attachment System
A hard hat with symmetric front and back mounting ridges to support a headlamp is described. The hard hat provides mounting ridges to receive insertion slots of a rigid mounting bracket that fit around the ridges. The rigid mounting bracket includes channels to loop a strap through the channels and support a lamp on the bracket. The strap may include a hook and loop fastener system to enable attachment of a variety of lamps to the rigid support bracket. In this way, the hard hat can support a wide variety of headlamps attached to the rigid mounting bracket without destructive alterations to the hard hat. Clips may be added to the rigid mounting bracket to secure or lock the bracket in place during operation and prevent accidental knocks or jarring of the headlamp.
System and Method of Operating Ventilation Assembly
A surgical apparel system including a surgical helmet including a peripheral device and surgical garment. The surgical helmet comprising a face frame, a sensor, and a coupling member at least partially disposed within a recess of the face frame. The surgical garment configured to be at least partially disposed over the surgical helmet to provide a barrier between a medical environment and a wearer, the garment comprising an attachment element configured to removably engage the coupling member of the helmet to couple the garment to the helmet. The sensor positioned and configured to detect when the attachment element is engaged with the coupling member and to transmit a signal a controller related to operation of the peripheral device based on the engagement of the attachment element with the coupling member. The controller coupled to the sensor configured to control the peripheral device based on the signal from the sensor.
Elastic resistance strap for use with protective helmets
Disclosed is an elastic exercise strap with a gripping portion that merges into a loop or aperture. The strap can be connected to a sports helmet by threading the extended gripping portion around a part the helmet and then inserted through the loop or aperture. By pulling on the attached strap the neck muscles can be exercised.
