Antiglare Glass Sheet Article for Display Device and Method of Manufacturing Same
Disclosed herein is an antiglare glass sheet article for display devices in which at least one main surface of the glass sheet is roughened. The article has a roughened surface that includes: a surface with continuous irregularities having an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of 0.01 to 0.1 μm, and an average interval (RSm) of 1 to 20 μm; and depressions dispersed over the surface and each having a circular entrance portion measuring 3 to 20 μm in diameter, and a depth of 0.2 to 1.5 μm from the entrance portion, the roughened surface having 60 to 600 of the depressions in an observed 250 μm ×250 μm region. The article has desirable antiglare properties with reduced sparkling.
Chemically-strengthened glass
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a chemically-strengthened glass exhibiting both surface strength and abrasion-resistant anti-fingerprint (AFP) properties. The present invention relates to a plate-shaped chemically-strengthened glass which has a compressive stress layer provided to a glass surface layer, a glass surface hydrogen concentration profile in a specific range, and a surface strength and abrasion-resistant anti-fingerprint (AFP) properties which are in specific ranges.
Method of preparing synthetic quartz glass substrate
A synthetic quartz glass substrate is prepared by immersing a starting substrate in an aqueous solution of a nonionic surfactant and precision polishing the substrate with a colloidal silica water dispersion. A synthetic quartz glass substrate having a few defects and low surface roughness is obtained while the polishing rate is improved and the polishing time is reduced.
GLASS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF GLASS
A glass includes a first surface; a second surface that faces the first surface; at least one first end surface arranged between the first surface and the second surface; and at least one first chamfering surface connecting the first surface or the second surface with the first end surface. A surface roughness Ra of the first chamfering surface is 0.4 μm or less.
CHEMICALLY STRENGTHENED GLASS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CHEMICALLY STRENGTHENED GLASS
The present invention relates to a chemically strengthened glass including alkali metal ions, having a thickness of 0.20 mm or smaller, and having a pair of major surfaces that are opposed to each other and have been subjected to a chemically strengthening treatment, in which at least one of the pair of major surfaces has a core roughness depth Sk of 0.90 nm or smaller and a mean summit curvature Ssc of 13.0×10.sup.−4/nm or smaller.
GLASS MEMBER
A glass member includes a recessed portion, wherein in cross-sectional view, an angle formed between a principal surface of the glass member and an edge face of an opening of the recessed portion is 90 degrees to 130 degrees.
ANTIGLARE SURFACE WITH ULTRA-LOW SPARKLE AND THE METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
The present disclosure includes a method of making an article including etching a surface of a substrate with an etching suspension comprising an etching cream and glycerin, such that the surface is an anti-glare surface and the article comprises a sparkle of no more than 1%. An article made by the method can include a substrate having a textured surface and comprises a sparkle of no more than 1%.
Textured glass articles and methods of making the same
A textured glass article that includes: a glass substrate comprising a thickness, a primary surface and a bulk composition at the midpoint of the thickness; and a textured region defined by the primary surface and comprising a textured region composition. The textured region comprises a sparkle of 2% or less. Further, the bulk composition comprises about 40 mol % to 80 mol % silica and the textured region composition comprises at least about 40 mol % silica.
PRODUCTION PROCESS OF POLISHING STONE AND POLISHING STONE
A production process of a polishing stone includes a glass sphere feeding step of feeding glass spheres into a mold, and a firing step of heating the mold with the glass spheres filled therein at a temperature higher than a softening point and lower than a melting point of the glass spheres, thereby forming a glass block as the polishing stone. In the firing step, the heating is stopped with air bubbles still dispersed and remaining in interstices between the glass spheres in a dispersed manner.
COVER GLASS
The present invention provides a cover glass that can be installed in an automobile so as to cover a display unit including a plurality of information areas, including a glass body that has a first surface facing the display unit side, and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and that includes a plurality of transmission areas respectively corresponding to the information areas.
