Tactile elements for deadfronted glass and methods of making the same
Deadfront articles that include a tactile element formed on a first surface of a substrate and a visual element disposed on a second surface of the substrate opposite the first surface. The tactile element is positioned on the first surface of the substrate in a complimentary fashion to the visual element disposed on the second surface of the substrate. The tactile element may include a surface roughness portion having a surface roughness different than the surface roughness of an area bordering the surface roughness portion. The deadfront articles may be incorporated into an automobile interior to provide a visual and haptic display interface for a user.
Manufacturing method for phosphor glass thin plate and piece thereof, and phosphor glass thin plate and piece thereof
Provided is a manufacturing method for a thin phosphor glass plate by which a thin phosphor glass plate can be more certainly produced. A manufacturing method includes the steps of: preparing a phosphor glass base material 21 having a first principal surface 21a and a second principal surface 21b opposed to each other; placing the phosphor glass base material 21 on a stage 22 and fixing the second principal surface 21b onto the stage 22; and polishing the first principal surface 21a of the phosphor glass base material 21 with a polishing member 23 including an abrasive layer 24.
SHELL ASSEMBLY AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A shell assembly and a preparation method therefore, and an electronic device are provided. The shell assembly includes a glass substrate. The glass substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite each other, the first surface has first three-dimensional textures in micron level, the second surface has second three-dimensional textures in micron level, and orthographic projections of the first three-dimensional textures in a vertical direction are not fully overlapped with orthographic projections of the second three-dimensional textures in the vertical direction, making lights reflected by the first three-dimensional textures and lights reflected by the second three-dimensional textures interfere with each other.
TEXTURED GLASS ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A glass article is provided that includes: a glass substrate comprising a thickness and a primary surface; and a textured region defined by the primary surface. The textured region comprises a plurality of sub-surface hillocks, each hillock having a top surface and a base, the base located below the primary surface of the substrate. The plurality of hillocks comprises an average lateral feature size from 0.1 μm to 3 μm and an average height from 5 nm to 200 nm. Further, the primary surface of the substrate is substantially planar.
GLASS-CERAMICS WITH PLASMA RESISTANCE AND PARTS FOR DRY ETCHING COMPRISING THE SAME
A crystallized glass includes crystalline and vitreous structures, in which the crystalline structure includes lithium disilicate as a main crystalline phase and at least one crystalline phase among lithium phosphonate (Li.sub.3PO.sub.4), lithium metasilicate (Li.sub.2SiO.sub.3), silica (SiO.sub.2), and zirconia (ZrO.sub.2) as a sub-crystalline phase, has an excellent processability and an excellent plasma corrosion resistance, thereby being useful as a material for production of parts for various dry etching apparatuses.
Glass for autonomous car
The invention concerns a trim element for a motor vehicle comprising at least one glass sheet having an absorption coefficient lower than 5 m.sup.−1 in the wavelength range from 1051 nm to 1650 nm and having an external and an internal faces. According to the present invention, an infrared-based remote sensing device in the wavelength range from 1051 nm to 1650 nm, is placed behind the internal face of the glass sheet.
QUARTZ GLASS CRUCIBLE, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF SILICON SINGLE CRYSTAL USING THE SAME, AND INFRARED TRANSMISSIVITY MEASUREMENT METHOD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF QUARTZ GLASS CRUCIBLE
A quartz glass crucible 1 having a cylindrical side wall portion 10a, a bottom portion 10b, and a corner portion 10c includes a transparent layer 11 as an innermost layer made of quartz glass, a semi-molten layer 13 as an outermost layer made of raw material silica powder solidified in a semi-molten state, and a bubble layer 12 made of quartz glass interposed therebetween. An infrared transmissivity of the corner portion 10c in a state where the semi-molten layer 13 is removed is 25 to 51%, the infrared transmissivity of the corner portion 10c in the state where the semi-molten layer 13 is removed is lower than an infrared transmissivity of the side wall portion 10a, and the infrared transmissivity of the side wall portion 10a in the state where the semi-molten layer 13 is removed is lower than an infrared transmissivity of the bottom portion 10b.
