The invention relates to glass ceramics and glasses with a europium content, containing the following components:
TABLE-US-00001 Component wt.-% SiO.sub.2 30.0 to 75.0 Al.sub.2O.sub.3 10.0 to 45.0 Europium, calculated as Eu.sub.2O.sub.3 0.05 to 5.0
and which are suitable in particular for the production of restorations, the fluorescence properties of which largely correspond to those of natural teeth.
DENTAL TREATMENT MATERIAL AND DENTAL TREATMENT MATERIAL KIT
A dental treatment material includes: a liquid dispersion of a glass powder; and an inorganic phosphoric acid aqueous solution, wherein the glass powder contains zinc, silicon, and fluorine and does not substantially contain aluminum.
LITHIUM DISILICATE GLASS-CERAMIC COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS THEREOF
A glass-ceramic composition as defined herein. The glass-ceramic composition includes a first crystalline phase comprising lithium disilicate. The glass-ceramic composition can include up to 10 wt % CaO, up to 5 wt % Na.sub.2O, up to 10 wt % B.sub.2O.sub.3, and greater than 0.5 wt % ZrO.sub.2. The glass-ceramic composition can also include from 50 to 75 wt % SiO.sub.2, from 1 to 5 wt % Al.sub.2O.sub.3, from 1 to 8 wt % P.sub.2O.sub.5, and from 5 to 20 wt % Li.sub.2O. In aspects, the glass-ceramic composition can include a second crystalline phase including wollastonite, apatite, cristobalite, -quartz, lithiophosphate, or a combination thereof. Also disclosed are methods of making and using the disclosed compositions.
TRANSLUCENT NANOCRYSTALLINE GLASS CERAMIC
The present invention provides a material composition and a process of producing translucent ZrO.sub.2SiO.sub.2nanocrystalline glass ceramic (NCGC) with ultra-high flexural strength. The method comprises the following step: (1) prepare homogenous ZrO2-SiO2 nano-sized powder with high purity via a sol-gel method; (2) pressure assisted sintering of ZrO2-SiO2 nano-sized sol-gel powder to obtain translucent ZrO2-SiO2 NCGC. The invention also includes materials manufactured using the method.
Method to produce a monolithic form body
The invention relates to a method for producing a monolithic form body, in particular a dental restoration, comprising the steps of: providing of a blank, producing of the form body through pressing and/or machining of the blank, and softening of the form body exclusively in its surface region by irradiation with infrared radiation.
Fluorescent glass ceramics and glasses with europium content
The invention relates to glass ceramics and glasses with a europium content, containing the following components: TABLE-US-00001 Component wt.-% SiO.sub.2 30.0 to 75.0 Al.sub.2O.sub.3 10.0 to 45.0 Europium, calculated as Eu.sub.2O.sub.3 0.05 to 5.0 and which are suitable in particular for the production of dental restorations, the fluorescence properties of which largely correspond to those of natural teeth.
Dental enamel compositions with anti-inflammatory agents for animals
Provided are methods and compositions relating to a dental composition more specifically to prepare the damaged dentin of the tooth for animals and pets such as canine, feline and members of the taxonomic family Equidae prior to repair. The dental compositions include a bioactive glass and a non-aqueous solvent comprising an alcohol, anti-inflammatory and anti-pain reliever.
Lithium silicate diopside glass ceramics
Lithium silicate-diopside glass ceramics are described which are characterized by a controllable translucence and can be satisfactorily processed mechanically and therefore can be used in particular as restoration material in dentistry.
Machinable dental bulk block and method of manufacturing same
Disclosed is a machinable dental bulk block that is a glass ceramic block including an amorphous glass matrix and crystalline phases introduced into the matrix. A major crystalline phase is lithium disilicate and a minor crystalline phase is lithium phosphate. The dental block is made of a functionally gradient material in which the major crystalline phase exhibits a gradient of particle sizes in a depth direction of the dental block and which has no interface at a point where the gradient of particle sizes of the major crystalline phase changes. The dental bulk block is useful for production of a dental prosthesis (artificial tooth) similar to a natural tooth. The dental bulk block can reduce time and the number of processing steps to manufacture a dental prosthesis and provides improved structural stability through good force distribution obtained by functionally graded mechanical properties.
Lithium silicate glass ceramic and glass with rubidium oxide content
The invention relates to the use of lithium silicate glass ceramics and glasses with rubidium oxide content for coating an oxide ceramic, a metal or an alloy.
