SYSTEM FOR REDUCING SOUND IN A SPORTS PROTECTIVE HELMET
Systems for reducing the decibel levels of sound originated external to a sports protective helmet may minimize deleterious effects to the hearing of the individual wearing the sports protective helmet. Through use of a sound reducing object, whether placed in the interior of the sports protective helmet or external to the sports protective helmet, decibel volumes may be reduced across key frequencies that reach human ears while still allowing a player to hear. The result is substantial reduction in hearing loss related to sporting activities.
OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT HEADSET
A headset apparatus configured to be worn by a user operating outdoor power equipment. The headset may include a noise cancelling system and/or enhanced glasses.
Noise Reduction Earmuffs System and Method
An earmuffs system for noise reduction including an external microphone used in combination with active noise cancellation technology for the reduction of wind or other noises typically experienced while riding a vehicle such as a motorcycle, snow machine or ATV, the earmuffs system including a first earmuff including a first speaker and a first microphone therein; a second earmuff electrically coupled to the first ear muff, the second ear muff including a second speaker and a second microphone therein; noise cancellation circuitry for receiving first sounds from the first microphone and the second microphone and processing the first sounds by in part canceling the first sounds to form a first sound output that is provided from the first speaker and the second speaker; a third microphone placed external to the first earmuff, the third microphone supplying second sounds for the first speaker to output as a second sound output without the second sounds undergoing noise cancellation processing; and a fourth microphone placed external to the second earmuff, the fourth microphone supplying third sounds for the second speaker to output as a third sound output without the third sounds undergoing noise cancellation processing.
PROTECTIVE HELMET WITH AN ANTENNA
The invention relates to a protective helmet, and in particular, to a protective motorcycle helmet, comprising an antenna (1) for radio transmission, an outer shell (2) for distributing impact forces, an inner layer (3), which is accommodated by the outer shell (2), for damping impact forces, and a socket (4), which is firmly connected to the outer shell (2), for contacting a digital device (5) for wireless communication, wherein the socket (4), when contacting the digital device (5), electrically connects the latter to the antenna (1) for wireless communication. The protective helmet is characterized in that at least a partial layer of the outer shell (2) is disposed between the antenna (1) and the inner layer (3).

PRESSURE ATTENUATING HELMET
A helmet is provided having one or more layers of foam forming a first helmet shell nested inside a second helmet shell. Left and right circular ear openings are positioned on opposing sides of the first helmet shell and on opposing sides of the second helmet shell. A faceguard is attached to the first and second ear opening at opposing sides of the second helmet shell and a right ear hole anchor and a left ear hole anchor, each have an inside surface and an outside surface. One each of the ear hole anchors attach to the first and second circular ear openings of the second helmet shell at their inside surface and a first end of the faceguard attaches to the outside surface of the right ear hole anchor and a second end of the faceguard attaches to the outside surface of the left ear hole anchor.

Energy absorbing football helmet
A football helmet including a one-piece outer shell defining an exterior and an interior. The shell includes a plurality of slots penetrating at least partially through the shell from the exterior to the interior of the shell. Each slot may be disposed adjacent to at least one other slot and each pair of adjacent slots defines an energy absorbing beam portion between the adjacent slots. Each beam portion is configured to deform and absorb energy when the exterior of the shell is impacted from a normal direction.
