CONCRETE FORMULATION FOR SEALING AND PLUGGING OIL OR GAS WELLS FOR ABANDONMENT
An improved oil or gas well cement for penetrating, sealing and plugging wells to be abandoned. The cement fill includes (a) a cement component including a calcium sulfoaluminate cement and a Portland cement having a ratio by weight of Portland cement to calcium sulfoaluminate cement ranging from 1/19 to ⅕ and (b) an aggregate component with gradation spanning 1,200 microns to 5 microns. Further an improved oil or gas well microcellular cement for penetrating sealing and completely filling wells to be abandoned that includes (a) a cement component including a calcium sulfoaluminate cement and a Portland cement having a ratio by weight of Portland cement to calcium sulfoaluminate cement ranging from 1/19 to ⅕ and (b) an aggregate component with gradation spanning 200 microns to 5 microns and (c) a foaming agent.
METHOD OF SEQUESTERING GAS-PHASE MATERIALS DURING FORMATION OF HEMPCRETE AND MATERIALS FORMED USING SAME
A method of sequestering gas-phase materials, hempcrete formed using the method, and methods of using hempcrete are disclosed. An exemplary method includes providing a mixture of hempcrete compound material within a chamber and exposing the mixture within the chamber to a gas for a period of time to form hempcrete, wherein the hempcrete exhibits net-negative life cycle carbon emissions. A model to predict net life cycle carbon emission of hempcrete is also disclosed.
METHOD OF SEQUESTERING GAS-PHASE MATERIALS DURING FORMATION OF HEMPCRETE AND MATERIALS FORMED USING SAME
A method of sequestering gas-phase materials, hempcrete formed using the method, and methods of using hempcrete are disclosed. An exemplary method includes providing a mixture of hempcrete compound material within a chamber and exposing the mixture within the chamber to a gas for a period of time to form hempcrete, wherein the hempcrete exhibits net-negative life cycle carbon emissions. A model to predict net life cycle carbon emission of hempcrete is also disclosed.
Compatibilized Cement Composition for Treatment of a Subterranean Formation
Various embodiments disclosed relate to a compatibilized cement composition for the treatment of a subterranean formation. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation. The method can include placing in a subterranean formation a composition including a compatibilized cement composition. The compatibilized cement composition can include a curable resin or cured product thereof, a cement slurry, and a compatibilizer composition, a reaction product thereof, or a combination thereof. The compatibilizer composition can include a substituted or unsubstituted C5-C50 hydrocarbon including at least one internal olefin and a polyether.
Compatibilized Cement Composition for Treatment of a Subterranean Formation
Various embodiments disclosed relate to a compatibilized cement composition for the treatment of a subterranean formation. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation. The method can include placing in a subterranean formation a composition including a compatibilized cement composition. The compatibilized cement composition can include a curable resin or cured product thereof, a cement slurry, and a compatibilizer composition, a reaction product thereof, or a combination thereof. The compatibilizer composition can include a substituted or unsubstituted C5-C50 hydrocarbon including at least one internal olefin and a polyether.
Method for self-consolidating grout
Compositions and a method for making self consolidating grouts containing fly ash, ground granulated blast slag, and lime are described. No polymeric admixtures are utilized, and the 28 day cure strength of the cured gouts exceeds the minimum ASTM standards. The uncured grout exhibits slump flows between 24 and 30″ without visible segregation of the components.

CEMENTITIOUS BLEND AND CONCRETE MIX COMPOSITIONS RESISTANT TO HIGH TEMPERATURES AND ALKALINE CONDITIONS
A cementitious blend composition and a concrete mix composition preferable for making concrete resistant to high temperatures and alkaline conditions, particularly for making durable concrete for constructing an alumina digester tank in an aluminum smelter. The cementitious blend composition includes at least one hydraulic cement, silica fume (SF), and natural pozzolan (NP), wherein a weight percent ratio of at least one hydraulic cement: SF:NP in the cementitious blend composition lies in the range of (24-63): (5-44): (32-40) with the sum of the weight percentages of the at least one hydraulic cement, the SF, and the NP not exceeding 100%. The concrete mix composition comprises water and the cementitious blend composition, wherein a weight ratio of the water the cementitious blend composition is 0.2-0.5, and wherein the concrete mix composition has a content of the cementitious blend composition of 400-550 kg/m.sup.3.

A cementitious blend composition and a concrete mix composition preferable for making concrete resistant to high temperatures and alkaline conditions, particularly for making durable concrete for constructing an alumina digester tank in an aluminum smelter. The cementitious blend composition includes at least one hydraulic cement, silica fume (SF), and natural pozzolan (NP), wherein a weight percent ratio of at least one hydraulic cement: SF:NP in the cementitious blend composition lies in the range of (24-63): (5-44): (32-40) with the sum of the weight percentages of the at least one hydraulic cement, the SF, and the NP not exceeding 100%. The concrete mix composition comprises water and the cementitious blend composition, wherein a weight ratio of the water the cementitious blend composition is 0.2-0.5, and wherein the concrete mix composition has a content of the cementitious blend composition of 400-550 kg/m.sup.3.

The embodiments described herein generally relate to methods and chemical compositions for coating substrates with a composition. In one embodiment, an adhesive composition is provided comprising a reaction product of a polyacid selected from the group consisting of an aromatic polyacid, an aliphatic polyacid, an aliphatic polyacid with an aromatic group, and combinations thereof, or a diglycidyl ether; and a polyamine; and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a branched aliphatic acid, a cyclic aliphatic acid with a cyclic aliphatic group, a linear aliphatic, and combinations thereof. The adhesive composition may be used to cover a substrate.
