A suspension band assembly to be used to support a hard hat on a head of a user. The suspension band assembly includes a primary support loop to receive the head of the user therein. An electronic peripheral is fixedly secured to the primary support loop. An attachment strap extends out from the primary support loop to a strap distal end. An anchor is fixedly secured to the strap distal end for securing the attachment strap to the hard hat. An electrical anchor contact is fixedly secured to the anchor to provide an electrical connection between the hard hat and the electronic peripheral located on the primary support loop.

A safety helmet (100) with a helmet shell (7), with a bearing element (5), with at least one holding element (2, 9.l, 9.r, 28) and with a tubular shape textile sheathing. Each holding element (2, 9.l, 9.r, 28) is permanently connected to the helmet shell (7). A distance is present between a holding element (2, 9.l, 9.r, 28) and the head of a user of the safety helmet (100). The bearing element (5) is adjacent to the head. The textile sheathing encloses the bearing element (5) and is located in some areas between the bearing element (5) and the head. The bearing element (5) is detachably connectable to a respective holding element through at least one connection opening in the textile sheathing. A process for removing the textile sheathing from the safety helmet (100), as well as to a process for manufacturing a safety helmet (100) are provided.

The pivot arms are pivotable about the second transverse pivot axis to adjust a viewing angle of the viewing device or reduce a profile of the viewing device when the pivot arms are in the viewing position or stowed position, respectively.

A helmet for receiving the head of a hockey or lacrosse player, the helmet having an outer shell and an inner lining covering at least partially the inner surface of the outer shell. In one embodiment, the helmet comprises a skeleton at least partially covered by the inner lining, a movable occipital pad and movable temple pads. The inner lining can be made of an absorptive material such as foam, expanded polypropylene or expanded polyethylene and can be overmolded onto the skeleton. The occipital pad and the temple pads may be arranged with an inward bias so as to help the helmet self-adjust to provide an advantageous fit on the player's head. In some embodiments, the outer shell and skeleton, or the outer shell and the inner lining, cooperate to define a ventilation system.
