A helmet chin guard is applicable to a helmet with a visor. The chin guard includes a main body, a mini projection unit and a control unit. The main body has multiple connection sections detachably connected with the helmet. The mini projection unit serves to receive video information output from the control unit and project the video information onto the visor. By means of the helmet chin guard, a rider can watch the video information on the visor to enhance safety in riding.

A helmet chin curtain add-on for effectively preventing wind, cold temperature and noise from entering into a helmet, thereby removing inconveniences when wearing a helmet, is disclosed. The chin curtain is preferably made from a resilient flexible solid material providing for an adequate elastic adjustment, allowing a fit to a wide variety of different helmets. The single piece nature of the chin curtain preferably allows for the prevention of leaks for adequate wind and noise reduction. The elastomeric nature of the material allows the chin curtain to retain its shape even when distorted from putting on and the removing the helmet.

A protective football helmet is provided having a face guard mounting system with at least one pair of opposed recessed mounting regions that ensure a low-profile mounting arrangement for a face guard to the helmet. The recessed mounting regions are formed in both the inner and outer surfaces of the helmet shell along a frontal opening in the shell. As a result of the streamlined frontal appearance provided by the face guard mounting system, the width of the face guard closely corresponds to the width of the helmet at the recessed mounting regions.

LACROSSE HELMET

A lacrosse helmet comprises rigid single-piece shell formed of a suitable material such as polycarbonate or ABS plastic and adapted to receive and protect the head of a wearer. The shell has acclivities integrally formed therein to define features in the shell. A padding system includes crown padding comprising a crown shock absorber associated with an inner crown liner, rear and side padding comprising a lateral padding assembly backed by an inflatable occipital pad, left and right jaw pads, and a front molded pad nested within the front of the helmet shell.

HELMET HAVING A CHIN BAR COLLAR

A helmet comprising an outer shell and a chin bar collar is disclosed. The outer shell comprises an interior surface and an open front portion. The chin bar collar comprises a chin guard and a collar segment forming a continuous loop. The collar segment is coupled to the interior surface of the outer shell. A majority of the collar segment is positioned within an interior space of the outer shell, and a majority of the chin guard is positioned outside the interior space of the outer shell. The outer shell may include at least two coupling points, at least one on each side of the open front portion, coupling the chin bar collar to the outer shell. The helmet may include at least one bracket coupled to the interior surface of the outer shell. The chin bar collar may be releasably coupled to the interior surface of the outer shell.

Each of the plurality of sinusoidal springs includes a first end, and a second end connected to one of the plurality of energy dissipation devices.

SPORTS HELMET WITH LINER SYSTEM

A sports helmet comprises a single-piece plastic shell, an occipital shock absorber attached to the inner surface of the shell in the rear region to at least partially overlie an occipital area of the head, an inflatable occipital pad removably attached to the inner surface of the shell in the rear region and positioned between the inner surface of the shell and the lateral padding assembly to push the occipital shock absorber forward when the occipital pad is inflated. The occipital pad comprises a top sheet and a bottom sheet bonded together, a plurality of inflatable pockets formed in the top sheet and fluidly connected through channels formed in the top sheet, a valve assembly for inflating the plurality of inflatable pockets, the valve assembly bonded to the bottom sheet. The valve assembly extends through a hole in the shell for inflation.

A helmet includes a shell, a chin guard, a runner on the chin guard and a connector. The connector pivotally secures the chin guard to the shell and includes: (i) a track that: is sized to permit the chin guard runner to travel there along; and is rotatably connected to the shell about an axis of rotation, such that the track is able to rotate relative to the shell through at least 120 degrees between an operative position and a stowed position; (ii) a retainer at or near a first axial end of the track, which retainer is movable between: an inactive condition, in which the retainer permits a runner that is located at the first axial end of the track to move towards the second axial end of the track; and an active condition, in which the retainer prevents a runner that is located at the first axial end of the track from moving towards the second axial end of the track; and (iii) a formation that configures the retainer from: the inactive condition to the active condition when the track is rotated from either the operative position or the stowed position; and the active condition to the inactive condition when the track is in the operative position or the stowed position.
