Protective helmet
A protective helmet comprising a helmet shell having at least two layers and the helmet shell having a flexural modulus from 50 MPa to 600 MPa as measured using ASTM D 790 B and a non-foamed specific gravity in the range of 0.916 g/cm.sup.3 up to 1.60 g/cm.sup.3. More than one helmet shell may be combined to provide greater protection to the wearer. The layers may be constructed of an open cell foam, a waterproof coating layer, a separator layer, a flexible layer, a slightly foamed layer, and a cushion layer. A protective facial barrier may be easily removed with use of a locking mechanism which removably secures the facial barrier to the helmet shell. The helmet shells may also be in parts and hinged so that the parts can separate for easy removal of the protective helmet. An adjustment locking mechanism may also tighten and adjust a second helmet shell.
Bicycle helmet with modular impact absorbing structures
A helmet includes an outer shell having an interior and an exterior and an impact absorbing layer positioned on the interior of the outer shell. The impact absorbing layer includes a first impact absorbing structure having a first interface and a second impact absorbing structure having a second interface in lateral compression against the first interface.
Chin guard pivoting mechanism
The present disclosure relates to a chin guard pivoting mechanism, and the chin guard pivoting mechanism (100) according to the present disclosure is provided in a helmet which comprises a helmet body (10), a chin guard (20) pivotally coupled to the helmet body (10), and a shield (30) pivotally coupled to the helmet body (10). When the chin guard (20) is pivoted from the front of a user's chin up to a first predetermined angle (A) with respect to the helmet body (10), the shield (30) is pivoted upward, and when the chin guard (20) is pivoted up to a second predetermined angle (B) greater than the first predetermined angle (A) with respect to the helmet body (10), the shield (30) is pivoted downward. Alternatively, when the chin guard (20) is pivoted from the front of a user's chin up to the first predetermined angle (A) with respect to the helmet body (10), the shield 30) is pivoted upward, and when the shield (30) is pivoted downward, the chin guard (20) is pivoted up to the second predetermined angle (B) with respect to the helmet body (10).
Helmet
A helmet includes a helmet body having a front opening, a closing member attached to the outer side of the helmet body so as to close the opening, and an exterior member attached. The helmet body includes a first outer surface, a first attachment surface to which the closing member is attached, and a second attachment surface which is located between the first outer surface and the first attachment surface and to which the exterior member is attached. The exterior member includes a second outer surface continued to the curved surface shape of the first outer surface, and a side surface. The second outer surface and the side surface form a first angle toward inside of the helmet body. The first outer surface and the second attachment surface form a second angle toward inside of the helmet body. The second angle is larger than the first angle.
Baseball batter's helmet
A baseball batter's helmet includes a helmet body having an outer helmet surface and an inner helmet surface, and multiple removable plugs molded into the helmet body at multiple locations. Each removable plug is configured to be removed, thereby forming a through-hole through the inner helmet surface and the outer helmet surface at the respective location of the removable plug on the helmet body. The helmet also includes an attachment component that is removably connected to the inner helmet surface upon removal of one or more of the removable plugs from the helmet body.
Helmet
The present disclosure relates to a helmet, and the helmet according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a chin curtain (100) disposed at a chin guard (20) of a helmet body (10), wherein the chin curtain (100) rotates with respect to the chin guard (20).
Protective helmet
A motorcycle helmet, having a helmet shell, a chin part for covering a chin portion of a wearer, and a visor, uses a coupling mechanism by means of which the chin part is fastened to the helmet shell and pivotable between a lower position and an upper position. With the chin part in the lower position, by means of the coupling mechanism, the visor can assume a respective pivoting position between a closed position and an open position. The coupling mechanism is further designed, upon pivoting of the chin part from the upper position into the lower position after the chin part has previously been pivoted from the lower position into the upper position, to cause the visor to occupy a pre-pivoting position differing from the closed position, which pre-pivoting position the visor occupied before the pivoting of the chin part from the lower position into the upper position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HELMET
A helmet for a rider of an on-road or off-road vehicle protects the rider's head. The helmet also may include various features for enhancing the riding experience. For example, the helmet may include a face shield configured to be slidable and rotatable relative to a shell of the helmet. The helmet may also include a chin bar that is slidable and rotatable relative to the shell. Additionally, the helmet may include a peak that provides for toolless adjustment of position of the peak relative to the shell. An inner construction provides a multi-layer system in which at least one layer is an impact layer.
