BITUMINOUS COMPOSITIONS BASED ON PHOSPHORIC DERIVATIVES
The invention relates to a package of performance additives for bitumen or bituminous compositions including an acidic adjuvant and a H.sub.2S scavenger chosen from organic or inorganic copper salts. The invention also relates to the use of said H.sub.2S scavenger in order to reduce the H.sub.2S emissions of bitumen or of a bituminous composition treated with the acidic adjuvant. The invention additionally relates to a process for the preparation of a bituminous composition. The preparation process according to the invention makes it possible to obtain bitumen/crosslinked polymer compositions having better mechanical and dynamic properties in comparison with the bitumen/crosslinked polymer compositions of the prior art, while substantially reducing the releases of hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S).
Plastomer-modified asphalt binders meeting MSCR specifications, asphalt paving materials with such asphalt binders, and methods for fabricating such asphalt binders
Plastomer-modified asphalt binders meeting MSCR specifications, asphalt paving materials with such asphalt binders, and methods for fabricating such asphalt binders are provided. The asphalt binder contains a base asphalt and a plastomer. If the plastomer has a drop point no greater than about 139 C., the asphalt binder further contains sulfur; sulfur-containing compounds, such as hydrocarbyl polysulfides and thiuram disulfides; phenolic resins; metal oxides; or a combination thereof. The asphalt binder is substantially free of elastomer.

PERFORMANCE GRADE ASPHALT REPAIR COMPOSITION
The present invention is a system for repairing asphalt. The system includes a discrete quantity of an asphalt repair composition located within a container and an induction heater. The composition is a combination of an asphalt binder, aggregate particles, and induction particles. The average diameter of the induction particles ranges from approximately 10% above to approximately 10% below an average diameter of the aggregate particles used in the composition. The induction heater heats the composition within the container by generating a magnetic field that penetrates the container. The magnetic field creates eddy currents in the induction particles. These eddy currents in turn heat the composition. Because the induction particles are distributed throughout the composition, the composition heats rapidly.
Gypsum plaster-based material containing casein and activated carbon
A plaster-based material, in particular a plasterboard intended for the interior fitting of dwellings, contains a mixture of casein and active charcoal. The plaster-based material is used for reducing the amount of volatile organic compounds present in the atmosphere inside dwellings, offices or public buildings.
