The assembly also includes a pair of adjustable connectors affixed to the helmet and that include a central opening that receives an extent of the strap and a lever that engages a portion of the securing elements. The adjustable connector allows movement of the strap in a first direction, and prevents movement of the strap in a second direction when the lever is engaged with at least one of the securing elements. The adjustable connector allows movement of the strap in both the first and second directions when the lever is not engaged with the securing elements.
Mandible guard
A helmet assembly having a helmet, a mandible guard, and an accessory attachment system that is used to selectively attach and secure the mandible guard to the helmet is disclosed. In some embodiments, the mandible guard is arranged to be detached from a first side of the helmet while remaining secured to a second side of the helmet. In such embodiments, the mandible guard may be moved outwardly and away from a wearer as the mandible guard pivots around the accessory attachment system attached to the second side of the helmet.
Sports helmet with adjustable chin strap system
A protective sports helmet that includes a chin strap system that allows for rapid, one-handed adjustment of a chin strap assembly by the player while he/she is wearing the helmet is provided. The chin strap assembly includes a protective chin cup and a pair of straps extending from opposed sides of the chin cup and having a plurality of securing elements.
MULTILAYERED HELMET WITH INDEPENDENTLY MOVABLE SEGMENTS
The present disclosure provides a helmet that includes a segmented outer shell comprising a plurality of independently movable segments. The helmet also includes internal layers that comprise flexible bearings and other optional padding to provide mobility to the segmented outer shell and to provide impact protection via force dispersion and compression of the layers of the helmet. In a first embodiment, the bearing is a substantially hemispherically-shaped node. In a second embodiment, the bearing is a substantially torus-shaped pad.
Helmet tool
A helmet tool including a housing; a pin at least partially disposed in the housing; a trigger mechanism operatively engaged with the pin, wherein the pin and trigger mechanism may be configured together within the housing such that actuation of the trigger mechanism causes the pin to one of extend from or retract into the housing; and a latch connected to the housing.
PROTECTIVE HELMET
The present invention relates to a protective helmet (1) comprising: an outer shell (10); an impact absorbing liner (12), positioned inside the outer shell (10), and a comfort liner (14), positioned at an inner surface of the impact absorbing liner (12), so as to be in contact with the user's head during the use of the protective helmet (1). The comfort liner (14) comprises at least one cheek pad (16) including a padding layer (18) and a pad back plate (20). The at least one cheek pad (16) is coupled to the impact absorbing liner (12) by means of magnetic coupling means (22, 24) provided at the interface surface (P) between the pad back plate (20) and the impact absorbing liner (12). The magnetic coupling means comprise at least one projection (22), provided with a first magnetic element (26), designed to be inserted inside at least one recessed seat (24) in proximity of which a second magnetic element (28) is arranged. According to the invention, the at least one recessed seat (24) has a different size and shape with respect to said at least one projection (22). Said at least one projection (22) is adapted to move inside said at least one recessed seat (24) between a first position, wherein the first magnetic element (26) and the second magnetic element (28) are faced to each other, and a second position, wherein the first magnetic element (26) and the second magnetic element (28) are spaced apart, so that the pad back plate (20) is releasable from the impact absorbing liner (12).
Helmet removal system and method
A helmet removal system includes a detachable helmet liner configured to be positioned in a helmet. The helmet liner includes a central portion configured to receive a user's head therein, a frontal portion integrally formed with the central portion and configured to engage a user's frontal head portion. The helmet liner further includes dual side tab portions integrally formed with the central portion. The dual tab portions are configured to be moved between a folded position, inside of the helmet, to an unfolded position. The helmet liner further includes a top portion extending between opposing edges of the central portion.
