A PROCESS FOR MAKING A SINTERED ARTICLE

A process for making a sintered article including the steps of: (a) preparing a particulate mixture; (b) contacting the particulate mixture to water to form a humidified mixture; (c) pressing the humidified mixture to form a green article; (d) optionally, subjecting the green article to an initial drying step; (e) subjecting the green article to a firing step in a kiln to form a hot fused article; and (f) cooling the hot fused article to form a sintered article. The particulate mixture includes: (i) at least 20 wt % coarse coal combustion fly ash; and (ii) at least 30 wt % clay, wherein the coarse coal combustion fly ash has a particle size in the range of from greater than 150 μm to less than 250 μm.

A method is provided for inputting thermal energy into fluidic medium in a steel manufacturing process by at least one rotary apparatus comprising: a casing with at least one inlet and at least one exit, a rotor comprising at least one row of rotor blades arranged over a circumference of a rotor hub mounted onto a rotor shaft, and a stator configured as an assembly of stationary vanes arranged at least upstream of the at least one row of rotor blades. In the method, an amount of thermal energy is imparted to a stream of fluidic medium directed along a flow path formed inside the casing between the inlet and the exit by virtue of a series of energy transformations occurring when said stream of fluidic medium passes through the stationary vanes and the at least one row of rotor blades, respectively. The method further comprises: integration of said at least one rotary apparatus into a steel production facility configured to carry out steel production processes, such as reacting iron oxide and carbon or production of raw materials, at temperatures essentially equal to or exceeding 500 degrees Celsius (° C.), and conducting an amount of input energy into the at least one rotary apparatus integrated into the heat-consuming process facility, the input energy comprises electrical energy. Super-wear-resistant diamond glaze, ceramic tile and preparation method thereof

The invention relates to the field of building ceramic materials, and specifically discloses a soft light super-wear-resistant diamond glaze, a ceramic tile and a preparation method thereof. The main raw materials of the super-wear-resistant diamond glaze in parts by weight are as follows: 30-70 parts of a frit, 20-55 parts of an aggregate, 0.1-6 parts of an additive, 30-50 parts of water; the frit contains Al.sub.2O.sub.3≤10%, Na.sub.2O+K.sub.2O≤3%. Correspondingly, the present invention also discloses a super-wear-resistant diamond glazed ceramic tile and a preparation method thereof. The diamond glaze disclosed in present invention has the characteristics of excellent transparency, good wear resistance and stain resistance and almost has no air bubbles.
