A method to solidify cremation remains includes milling the cremation remains to a reduced particle size, adding water to the cremation remains to produce a mixture; shaping the mixture into wet ware having a desired shape, drying the wet ware to greenware that is sufficiently dry for firing, and firing the greenware in a kiln until solidified to one or more cremains solids consisting of the cremation remains. A product formed of solidified cremation remains is also disclosed.

Method of producing lightweight ceramic sand particulates from coal pond ash and use thereof
The present invention relates to fabricating lightweight ceramic sand as a building and construction material. More specifically it relates to a novel process of manufacturing sintered synthetic lightweight ceramic sand particulates directly from pond ash and fly ash as a secondary raw material. The said synthetic lightweight ceramic sand can be used as a building material. The novel feature of the invention is to manufacture low cost lightweight sand at high throughput to compete against the fast depleting natural sand and crushed stones.

Method of making waterproof magnesium oxychloride refractory brick by fly ash from municipal solid waste incineration
The invention discloses a method of making waterproof magnesium oxychloride refractory brick using fly ash from municipal solid waste incineration (MSWFA). The solidification and stabilization of heavy metals in MSWFA is achieved by the chemical action of a sulfur-containing compound and a physical wrapping of a geopolymer. The large amount of chloride ions in MSWFA is also reused in the manufacture of magnesium oxychloride refractory brick, which requires a high chlorine environment. This method, with the inclusion of the geopolymer, also produces refractory brick exhibiting improved water resistance relative to traditional magnesium oxychloride refractory brick, thereby allowing the improved magnesium oxychloride refractory brick to be used in a wider range of applications.

A method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure, includes: a step of manufacturing a honeycomb formed body to manufacture a non-fired honeycomb formed body, the non-fired honeycomb formed body including a raw material composition containing a ceramic raw material, 0.5 to 5.0 mass % of pore former and water; an induction drying step of drying the manufactured non-fired honeycomb formed body by induction drying to obtain a honeycomb dried body; and a firing step of firing the obtained honeycomb dried body to obtain a honeycomb structure. The induction drying step is to remove 20 to 80% of the entire water that the non-fired honeycomb formed body contained before drying by induction drying to obtain a first dried honeycomb formed body, then turn the first dried honeycomb formed body upside down and remove the residual water by further induction drying to obtain the honeycomb dried body.

Although makeable by other processes, in some embodiments, the composition is makeable by mixing component ingredients. Although usable for other purposes, in some embodiments, the composition is used to make ceramic pieces, e.g., via casting, pressing, jiggering or jollying, especially when the slip has solids, chemistry and viscosity suitable for shaping before drying, sintering, and optionally finishing.
