Apparatuses and techniques for subterraneous placement of one or more items
Apparatuses and techniques for subterranean placement or positioning of one or more items are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to form a hole in the ground and subsequently provide a pathway for positioning one or more items in the hole. In one form, the items that may subterraneously placed or positioned using the apparatus may include agricultural products such as seeds or delivery vehicles that include one or more fertilizers or pesticides or combinations of these materials.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ERADICATING BURROWING RODENTS USING ENGINE EXHAUST GAS
A system and method for eradicating burrowing rodents uses an internal combustion engine running at high speed and zero mechanical load to convert gasoline and air into pressurized carbon monoxide entrained in an inert gas mixture consisting mostly of nitrogen and water vapor. A heat exchanger cools the exhaust gas and provides it to one or more outputs. Respective hoses are coupled to the outputs, with each hose coupled to an injector tube adapted for insertion into a subterranean tunnel in which a rodent may be present. The engine is preferably mounted on a wheeled tubular frame which may be part of a hand truck or a trailer frame, with the frame serving as both structural member and as heat exchanger. The system pumps gas into the tunnel, replacing the existing atmosphere with oxygen poor, CO rich gas that causes the rodents to succumb to a combination of CO poisoning and hypoxia.
APPARATUS FOR INJECTING SOIL TREATMENTS
Apparatus (10) or injecting soil treatment into soil includes a handle (17) and a manifold head (16) carried by the handle (17) for delivering soil treatment into soil. The manifold head (16) has a first set of high pressure nozzles (38) each configured to deliver a first volume of soil treatment into the soil at an operating pressure over an injection period and a second set of high pressure nozzles (102) each configured to deliver a second volume of soil treatment into the soil at the operating pressure over the injection period. The second volume of soil treatment is greater than the first volume of soil treatment.
Rodent Bait Delivery Device
A rodent bait delivery device for delivering bait into a rodent hole includes a first tube, a second tube, and a hopper. The second tube is complementary to and slidably positioned in the first tube. The hopper is engaged to the first tube so that a bottom of the hopper is positioned proximate to a lower end of the first tube. An opening positioned in a top of the hopper allows for addition of a flowable bait. A first aperture is positioned in the first tube proximate to the bottom of the hopper. A second aperture is positioned in the second tube so that the second aperture is selectively alignable with the first aperture to fluidically engage the second tube to the hopper, thus allowing the flowable bait to flow from the hopper and through the second tube into a rodent hole.
Baiting Method and Apparatus for Pest Control
A system for carrying out pest baiting, comprises an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which is controllable to record image data over a predefined flight path, the image data being captured by an image recording device. A computer processing arrangement is operable to evaluate the recorded image data to determine pest related data associated with an animal species identified as a pest, and to subsequently determine a baiting program for eradication of the animal species based on the determined pest data.
LIQUID DISPENSING SYSTEM, COMPONENTS AND FEATURES THEREOF, AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A pesticide product having a liquid dispensing system and a pesticidal composition contained within a bottle. The liquid dispensing system includes a bottle having an interior volume and a neck terminating in a rim circumscribing and defining a main opening through the neck to the interior volume. The neck has a first retaining feature. The liquid dispensing fixture includes a housing, a carry handle, an electric motor configured to drive a pump, a dispensing nozzle in fluid communication with the pump, and a spray actuator operatively connected to the pump. The liquid dispensing fixture is configured to engage the first retaining feature of the bottle. The pesticidal composition includes from about 0.5% to about 10% clove oil; from about 0.01% to about 1.5% citric acid; an anionic surfactant; and water.
Apparatus for Attraction and Disposition of Reptiles
Provided herein is an apparatus for attraction and disposition of reptiles, including a heat source disposed on or near the manipulator arm or on a platform; a manipulator arm comprising a gripper and an arm imager, wherein the manipulator arm is disposed on the heat source or on the platform; and one or more control units connected physically or wirelessly to the heat source, the manipulator arm, the arm imager, or a combination thereof.
Rodent gasser with self-ignition system and method of using the same
A rodent gasser including a smoke cartridge and having a self ignition system is provided. According to a first embodiment, the self ignition system has a top plastic cap covering a strike pad and a lower plastic shroud that protects the rodent gasser ignition system prior to use. An ignition button is provided under the shroud that works with the strike pad to ignite the smoke cartridge. According to a second embodiment, the self ignition system has a top plastic cap covering activation components of a pull pin ignition system that include a gripping element and a connecting element that couples the gripping element to an internal ignition assembly. The gasser is ignited by pulling the gripping element. A method of using the rodent gasser is also provided.
POISON DEPOSITING APPARATUS FOR REACHING INTO GOPHER HOLES
A poison depositing apparatus for depositing poison in a gopher hole includes a sheath and a slider rod slidably mounted in the sheath. A flexible tube is attached to the slider rod. When the slider rod is placed in an extended position with respect to the sheath, the flexible tube is housed in the sheath. The slider rod may be pushed into the sheath from the extended position to push the flexible tube out the other end of the sheath. A grabbing mechanism is mounted to the end of a cable which extends through the flexible tube and the slider rod. The grabbing mechanism is actuated by an actuator mounted to the slider rod, which is operable to push the cable through the slider rod and the tube to release jaws of the grabbing mechanism from engagement with a rim of the tube to open the jaws and release poison pellets.
