Aerated fiber cement building products and methods of making the same
Disclosed herein are low density fiber cement articles, such as fiber cement building panels and sheets, comprised of multiple overlaying fiber cement substrate layers having small and uniform entrained air pockets and low density fillers distributed throughout. The combination of entrained air pockets and low density fillers provide a low density fiber cement matrix with physical and mechanical properties similar to comparable low density fiber cement matrix without entrained air pockets.
Ceramic materials for absorption of acidic gases
The present invention describes the process of preparing ceramics for the absorption of ACIDIC gases, which worsen the greenhouse effect, that are released in combustion systems, or that are present in closed environments. In relation to carbon dioxide, principal target of the present invention, the process of absorption, transport, processing and transformation of the gas into other products is described. The process uses ceramic materials prepared through the solid mixture of one or more metallic oxides, with one or more binding agents and an expanding agent. The product generated can be processed and the absorbent system regenerated. The carbon dioxide obtained in the processing can be used as analytic or commercial carbonic gas, various carbamates and ammonium carbonate.

PRESTRESSED CONCRETE
An object to provide a prestressed concrete that can be widely used for general building members, in which a chemical stress induced by an expansive material and a mechanical stress induced by a continuous fiber reinforcing wire are simultaneously used together, and due to a synergistic effect of the mechanical stress and the chemical stress, the strength is increased, the reduction in weight, reduction in thickness, and suppression of cracking are achieved, and the degree of freedom in design increased. To provide a prestressed concrete characterized in that, in a concrete into which a prestress is introduced, a mechanical stress induced by a tensional material and a chemical stress induced by an expansive material for a concrete are introduced simultaneously into the concrete, the tensional material is a continuous fiber reinforcing wire, the expansive material for a concrete is contained in an amount of 5 to 30 kg/m3, and aluminum oxide contained in an amount of 0.2 to 2.0% by weight to the expansive material.
