Multi-component epoxy resin compound with leakage indicator, and curing component for the epoxy resin compound
A curing composition is useful for a multi-component epoxy resin compound and includes at least one first polyamine, at least one second polyamine, and at least one polyphenol from the group of bisphenols and novolac resins as an accelerator. Upon contact with atmospheric oxygen, the curing composition discolors within a few days and therefore leakages can be visually identified.
Enhanced Pozzolan For Using In Extended Life Cements
A method of cementing in a subterranean formation may include, activating an extended-life cement composition by mixing at least the extended-life cement composition with a liquid activated pozzolan additive comprising a carrier fluid and an activated pozzolan, wherein the extended-life cement composition comprises water, pumice, hydrated lime, and a set retarder; introducing the extended-life cement composition into a subterranean formation; and allowing the extended-life cement composition to set to form a hardened mass in the subterranean formation.
GYPSUM CEMENT COMPOSITIONS WITH AGGREGATE STABILIZERS AND METHODS FOR FORMING FLOOR UNDERLAYMENT
This disclosure provides gypsum cement compositions which comprise an aggregate stabilizing mixture containing a combination of a polysaccharide gum and a polyacrylamide-gelatin blend, and methods for making and using these compositions, including pourable/pumpable floor underlayment slurries and methods for forming high strength underlayment on different substrates.
DELIVERY DEVICE FOR CONCRETE ADMIXTURES AND PROCESS FOR RETARDING THE SETTING OF SURFACE PORTION OF CONCRETE
A delivery device for concrete admixtures, in the form of a film of watersoluble material, having a concrete admixture incorporated within the film. The film can be attached to a formwork for concrete and has a protective layer, which is removable to allow the water in the concrete to dissolve the film and release the admixture into the concrete. The film contains the required quantity of admixture and is weather-resistant and substantially time-insensitive. The delivery device is used in a process to retard the setting portion of a surface of concrete.
Single component epoxy resin cement mortar
A composition including cement, filler, polymer and a compound having epoxide groups and also an amine, wherein the composition contains more than 10% by weight of cement and at room temperature is present as storage-stable free-flowing powder and/or granular material. When mixed with water, the composition makes polymer-modified mortars having good processability, excellent adhesion, strength, water impermeability, chemical resistance and quick coatability possible.
Two component green concrete kit
A green concrete and mortar compositions free of Portland cement are disclosed. The compositions comprise Natural pozzolan, nanosilica particles, and alkaline activator. The green concrete produced from the composition of the invention is cured at ambient temperature and has higher compressive strength than that of concrete made with Portland cement.
Alkali-silicate-based initiator component for use in a cementitious inorganic multi-component mortar system
A cementitious multi-component mortar system contains granulated blast-furnace slag and an alkali-silicate-based initiator component, and can be used for the chemical fastening of anchoring elements in mineral substrates. The alkali-silicate-based initiator component is particularly suitable for the chemical fastening of galvanized anchoring elements.
CEMENTITIOUS SKIM COAT COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING CROSSLINKED CELLULOSE ETHERS FOR MORTARS WITH ENHANCED GEL STRENGTH
The present invention provides dry mixes for skim coat mortars having improved pot life and workability while reducing cellulose ether dosage comprising a white cement, one or more fillers having a sieve average particle size of from 15 to 60 microns, from 0.25 to 0.5 wt. % of one or more gel-like crosslinked cellulose ethers containing polyether groups, preferably, a mixed cellulose ether having polyoxypropylene dioxyethylene ether crosslinks, and from 1 to 2.5 wt. % of one or more polymer redispersible powders (RDP). At least one gel-like crosslinked cellulose ether has a crossover point as measured by oscillation rheometry, at which storage modulus (G′) and loss modulus (G″) intersect and are identical, of 1.0ω or less. The present invention also provides methods of using the dry mixes.
Foaming of set-delayed cement compositions comprising pumice and hydrated lime
A variety of methods and compositions are disclosed, including, in one embodiment a method a cementing in a subterranean formation comprising: providing a set-delayed cement composition comprising water, pumice, hydrated lime, and a set retarder; foaming the set-delayed cement composition; activating the set-delayed cement composition; introducing the set-delayed cement composition into a subterranean formation; and allowing the set-delayed cement composition to set in the subterranean formation. Additional methods, foamed set-delayed cement composition, and systems for cementing are also provided.
Finely ground granulated blast-furnace slag in a cementitious multi-component mortar system for use as an inorganic chemical fastening system
A cementitious multi-component mortar system contains finely ground granulated blast-furnace slag with a grinding fineness in the range of from 5,000 to 15,000 cm.sup.2/g. The cementitious multi-component mortar system can be used as an inorganic chemical fastening system for anchoring elements in mineral substrates.
