METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING ENGINEERED STONE
20190256430 · 2019-08-22 ·

A compression device, means for controlling the compression device, a drum having an inner chamber, means for rotating the drum, and first and second delivery devices for delivering first and second materials into the inner chamber of the drum while the drum is rotating. The compression device compresses the first and second material in the inner chamber of the drum while the drum is rotating about the center of the drum in response to the means for controlling the compression device. The apparatus may include a stirring device; and a means for controlling the stirring device; wherein the stirring device is configured with respect to the drum so that the stirring device can be moved up and down to a desired depth within the drum and rotates within the inner chamber of the drum to stir the first and second materials in the drum while the drum is rotating.

PROCESS FOR TREATING A SUBSTRATE MADE OF STONE MATERIAL
20190233341 · 2019-08-01 ·

A process for treating a substrate made of stone material, preferably in the form of slabs, is provided which process improves the mechanical, thermal and catalytic properties of the substrate. The process includes applying a protective coating to the outer surface of the substrate made of stone material and, to improve adhesion of the protective coating to the outer surface of the substrate, preliminarily subjecting the substrate to one or more pre-treatment steps that eliminate or reduce the presence of pollutants and porosity on the surface of the substrate. The pre-treatment of the substrate made of stone material comprises at least one step of treatment under vacuum conditions inside an autoclave, preferably under pressure conditions lower than 10.sup.2 mbar. Then, after having brought the substrate back to ambient pressure, it is possible to apply and effectively adhere the protective coating to the surface of the stone material.

CEILING REPAIR METHOD AND WALL REPAIR METHOD

The present invention provides a method of repairing a plaster ceiling. The plaster ceiling to be repaired by the above described method includes: plates bridged across joists and spaced apart from each other; a ceiling base material finished with a masonry trowel over the lower surfaces of the plates; and a ceiling finishing material formed over the lower surface of the ceiling base material. The above described method includes the steps of: drilling an injection hole extending from the upper surface of the plate to the interface between the plate and the ceiling base material; injecting an acrylic resin composition containing: at least one monomer selected from an acrylic monomer or an methacrylic monomer; a thermosetting resin; and a curing agent; through the injection hole into the interface between the plate and the ceiling base material; and curing the acrylic resin composition so that the plate and the ceiling base material are adhered to each other. The invention also provides the use of the above described method.
