NANOCLAY-ENHANCED CEMENT COMPOSITION FOR DEEP WELL TREATMENT
A cement slurry composition, containing hydraulic cement, water, and from 1 to less than 4% of an organically modified nanoclay. A method for cementing a high pressure high temperature well by pumping the cement composition of claim 1 between a casing and a formation of a well bore to fill a gap between the casing and the formation, and allowing the cement to harden.
Composite materials with tailored electromagnetic spectral properties, structural elements for enhanced thermal management, and methods for manufacturing thereof
Disclosed is a method to produce composite materials, which contain customized mixes of nano- and/or micro-particles with tailored electromagnetic spectral properties, structural elements based thereon, in particular layers, but also bulk materials including inhomogeneous bulk materials. In some embodiments the IR-reflectivity is enhanced predominantly independently of reflectivity for visible wavelength. The enhanced IR-reflectivity is achieved by combining spectral properties from a plurality of nano- and/or micro-particles of distinct size distribution, shape distribution, chemical composition, crystal structure, and crystallinity distribution. This enables to approximate desired target spectra better than know solutions, which comprise only a single type of particles and/or an uncontrolled natural size distribution. Furthermore disclosed are methods of manufacturing such materials, including ceramics, clay, and concrete, as well as applications related to design and construction of buildings or other confined spaces.
Ultra-flexible nano-modified cementitious waterproofing coating and method of manufacturing
The present invention relates to a coating composition and method of manufacturing said coating composition. The coating composition is a two-component coating composition for construction surfaces. The present coating composition is effectively bonded to the surface without an additional application of intermediate layer overcoming the existing problems associated with conventional concrete surface treatment methods.
Inorganic polymers and use thereof in composite materials
The invention relates to a new inorganic polymer which is based on modified water glass, is characterized by numerous unusual properties and can be used as a substitute for, for example, concrete, cement, and ceramics.
TARGETED CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR MARINE REINFORCED CONCRETE, AND PREPARATION AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A targeted corrosion inhibitor for marine reinforced concrete, and a preparation and application thereof. The targeted corrosion inhibitor is a nano silver-loaded nitrite-intercalated layered double hydroxide. The targeted corrosion inhibitor is prepared based on interlayer ion exchangeability of layered double hydroxides and specific recognition of Ag.sup.+ to chloride ions.
USE OF CARBON NANOMATERIALS PRODUCED WITH LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT TO PRODUCE COMPOSITES WITH LOW CO2 EMISSION
A low carbon footprint material is used to decrease the carbon dioxide emission for production of a high carbon footprint substance. A method of forming composite materials comprises providing a first high carbon footprint substance; providing a carbon nanomaterial produced with a carbon-footprint of less than 10 unit weight of carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) emission during production of 1 unit weight of the carbon nanomaterial; and forming a composite comprising the high carbon footprint substance and from 0.001 wt % to 25 wt % of the carbon nanomaterial, wherein the carbon nanomaterial is homogeneously dispersed in the composite to reduce the carbon dioxide emission for producing the composite material relative to the high carbon footprint substance.
DOUBLE-RESPONSE SELF-DEGRADABLE TEMPORARY PLUGGING AGENT AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a double-response self-degradable temporary plugging agent and a preparation method thereof. The double-response self-degradable temporary plugging agent is prepared by compounding a crosslinkable monomer with a temperature-sensitive degradablity and an inorganic material with an acid solubility with a first monomer, a dispersant, an initiator and water, and subjecting the resulting mixture to a polymerization.
FULL-LENGTH SCREEN PIPE HOLE PROTECTION DEVICE AND METHOD WITH PRESSURIZED HOLE PACKING IN SOFT COAL SEAM
A full-length screen pipe hole protection device and method with pressurized hole packing in a soft coal seam relates to the field of gas drainage technologies. The device includes a grouting system, a drainage system and a hole fixing system. The grouting system injects a pressurized sealing material into a borehole through a pressure pump to increase a sealing effect of the borehole. The drainage system drains gas in the middle of air holes on metal baffle plates and hole fixing screen pipes through a drainage pipe to increase flowability of gas. The hole fixing system is inside the borehole and fixed with the metal baffle plates, and the hole fixing screen pipes are fixedly connected with each other through fitting mouths and fitting buckles. The device is fixedly mounted in the gas drainage borehole. After hole packing, the drainage pipe is connected with a drainage pump to drain gas.
Cement slurries, cured cement and methods of making and use thereof
Cured cements, cement slurries, and methods of making cured cement and methods of using cement slurries are provided. The method of making a cured cement comprising: synthesizing nanomaterials via chemical vapor deposition on at least one of cement particles or cement additive particles to form nanomaterial particles, adding the nanomaterial particles to a cement slurry to form a modified cement slurry, and curing the modified cement slurry to form a cured cement, in which the nanomaterials are interconnected and form a conductive web within the cured cement.
METHOD FOR PREPARING TWO-DIMENSIONAL ORDERED MESOPOROUS NANOSHEETS BY INORGANIC SALT INTERFACE-INDUCED ASSEMBLY
A method for preparing two-dimensional (2D) ordered mesoporous nanosheets by inorganic salt interface-induced assembly includes the following steps: carrying out, by using a soluble inorganic salt as a substrate and an amphiphilic block copolymer as a template, uniform mass diffusion of a target precursor solution at an inorganic salt crystal interface through vacuum filtration or low-speed centrifugation; forming a single-layer ordered mesoporous structure by using the solvent evaporation-induced co-assembly (EICA) technology; and promoting, through gradient temperature-controlled Ostwald ripening, the evaporation and induced formation of an organic solvent, and removing the template in N2 to obtain a 2D single-layer ordered mesoporous nanosheet material. The assembled nanosheet material has a large pore size, regular spherical pores and orderly arrangement. By changing the type of the precursor, a variety of mesoporous metal oxides, metal elements, inorganic non-metal nanosheets are synthesized.
