Sterol blends as an additive in asphalt binder
Disclosed are asphalt binder compositions and methods for making such compositions with pure sterol:crude sterol blends. The sterol blends improve various rheological properties.
Water cured concrete mix composition
A cementitious blend composition and a concrete mix composition preferable for making concrete resistant to high temperatures and alkaline conditions, particularly for making durable concrete for constructing an alumina digester tank in an aluminum smelter. The cementitious blend composition includes at least one hydraulic cement, silica fume (SF), and natural pozzolan (NP), wherein a weight percent ratio of at least one hydraulic cement:SF:NP in the cementitious blend composition lies in the range of (24-63):(5-44):(32-40) with the sum of the weight percentages of the at least one hydraulic cement, the SF, and the NP not exceeding 100%. The concrete mix composition comprises water and the cementitious blend composition, wherein a weight ratio of the water to the cementitious blend composition is 0.2-0.5, and wherein the concrete mix composition has a content of the cementitious blend composition of 400-550 kg/m.sup.3.
Nano modified silicate capillary crystalline material and use method thereof
A concrete durability protection method is provided, including following steps: Step one: rinsing the concrete surface; Step two: spraying agent A material or alternately spraying agent B material and agent A material at the wet surface of the concrete; Step three: repeating step two. The beneficial effects of the present invention include: nanoscale active silicate penetrates into the concrete surface layer within a certain depth and reacts with free calcium ions within the concrete to form C—S—H crystalline, thereby improving the compactness of the concrete surface layer within a certain depth, repairing defects in the concrete surface layer within a certain depth, such as the capillary interstices, pores, microcracks, etc., so as to effectively improve the durability of concrete. The unreacted nanoscale active silicate material has permanent activity. It could recover its activity when the concrete absorbs moisture, and continue to react with free calcium ions in the concrete to quickly form C—S—H crystals, realizing the permanent concrete durability protection.
Chemically inert concrete composition
A chemically inert concrete composition includes, based on dry weight, about 50% to about 95% by weight glass particles and about 3% to about 40% by weight colloidal silica particles. Optional additional chemically inert ingredients can be included in amounts of about 3% to about 40% by weight. The concrete composition is substantially or totally free of Group I and Group II metal oxides, exclusive of the glass particles, and is substantially or totally free of cement.
NANO MODIFIED SILICATE CAPILLARY CRYSTALLINE MATERIAL AND USE METHOD THEREOF

CORROSION-RESISTANT CERAMIC
A corrosion-resistant ceramic of the present disclosure contains aluminum oxide as a main component and a yttrium-aluminum composite oxide as a secondary component, and includes a plurality of open pores. When an average value of inter-centroid distances between adjacent open pores is denoted by L1, L1 is 50 μm or greater.
CORROSION-RESISTANT CERAMIC
A corrosion-resistant ceramic of the present disclosure contains yttrium zirconium oxide as a main component and has a plurality of open pores. The difference between an average value of inter-centroid distances of the open pores and an average value of diameters of the open pores is 50 μm or greater.
CEMENT-BASED CALCINED BOARD-SHAPED CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
An object of the present invention is to obtain a cement-based calcined board-shaped construction material having improved impact resistance.
The cement-based calcined board-shaped construction material of the present invention is characterized by being produced by adding 0.5 to 5 wt % of a ceramic inorganic fiber and/or a mineral inorganic fiber to 100 wt % of a compound comprising 5 to 40 wt % of Portland cement, 5 to 30 wt % of a glass powder, and a remainder occupied by a refractory aggregate mainly composed of a silica-alumina refractory raw material, kneading the resulting material, then shaping the kneaded material into an elongated board shape by extrusion, and subsequently calcining the shaped material.
Also, it is the cement-based calcined board-shaped construction material which is produced by sticking a glass fiber sheet to the rear side of the cement-based calcined board-shaped construction material.
