Midsole with graded response
A sole structure for an article of footwear comprises a midsole having four stacked polymeric sheets bonded to one another to define a first cushioning layer, a second cushioning layer, and a third cushioning layer. Each cushioning layer comprises a sealed chamber retaining gas in isolation from each other sealed chamber. Bonds between adjacent ones of the sheets are arranged such that the third cushioning layer is stacked directly above the first cushioning layer with the second cushioning layer bordering both the first cushioning layer and the third cushioning layer, and the sealed chamber of the second cushioning layer includes a plurality of elongated segments each extending lengthwise across a longitudinal midline of the midsole at a respective acute angle to the longitudinal midline.
PLATE WITH FOAM FOR FOOTWEAR
A sole structure for an article of footwear having an upper includes an outsole defining a first aperture, a cushioning member disposed on the outsole and defining a second aperture, and a plate disposed between the cushioning member and the upper. The plate includes an anterior-most point disposed in a forefoot region, a posterior-most point disposed closer to a heel region than the anterior-most point, a metatarsophalangeal (MTP) point disposed between the anterior-most point and the posterior-most point, and an anterior curved region having a radius of curvature extending through the forefoot region and a mid-foot region and including a forefoot curved portion extending from the MTP point to the anterior-most point and a mid-foot curved portion extending from the MTP point toward the posterior-most point. Overlapping portions of the first aperture and the second aperture expose a region of the plate.
Article Of Footwear With Cleat Arrangement Including Angled Cleats
An article of footwear with an arrangement of cleats is disclosed. The arrangement of cleats may enhance traction during the first step of sprinting, quick directional changes, and backward movement. The arrangement of cleats may be disposed on a base plate and may include a first angled cleat aligned with the hallux of a user and a second angled cleat disposed proximate a rearward edge of the base plate. The first angled cleat and two flat cleats may be aligned with the perimeter of a circle on the forefoot region of the base plate.
Shoe sole simulating a hoof
A tread has a contour simulative of a horse hoof. A central recess is surrounded by a side wall forming the top and side edges of the tread. The side wall has in-turned ends that extend into the central recess. The in-turned ends taper in both height and width to their distal ends. A V-shaped protrusion is formed at a bottom of the tread and a curved surface transitions from the tread to the midsole. A tear drop shaped recess is formed in the V-shaped protrusion. The top of the V-shaped protrusion and top of the side wall are coplanar.
EQUIPMENT FOR ENABLING A USER TO ENGAGE IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, AND USE OF SUCH EQUIPMENT
Equipment that includes a shoe/footwear and a range of footwear elements, and a method of using such equipment, each of such elements being configured to enable a user to perform a type of physical activity that is different from the types of physical activity enabled by the other footwear elements in the range of footwear elements.
