Floor coating compositions
The invention relates to the use of Real Michael Addition (RMA) crosslinkable composition for the preparation of a floor coating, to special RMA crosslinkable compositions with long working time and very short service time and low VOC and to specific floor compositions, in particular for use in high build floor coating applications.
Permeable pavement system including a permeable pavement composition and a related method
A permeable pavement system including a permeable pavement composition and a related method are provided. The permeable pavement system includes a first layer of a permeable pavement composition including a quantity of a first permeable pavement material and a quantity of cured carbon fiber composite material (CCFCM) incorporated therewith, the first layer defining a first surface; and a second layer of a second permeable pavement material deposited over a substantial entirety of and covering the first surface of the first layer of the permeable pavement composition, wherein the first layer interfaces with the second layer to at least strengthen the permeable pavement system.
NOVEL CONCRETE COMPOSITIONS WITH SELF HEALING PROPERTIES AND IMPROVED CONCRETE PERFORMANCE
A method for the preparation of industrial-scale concrete installations with improved compression strength, curling, shrinking and cracking characteristics, the method comprising the addition of nanosilica particulate, and more preferably, colloidal amorphous silica, having specific size and surface area characteristics, to a concrete mix after water has been added to the mix and the mix has been agitated.
Process for Producing a Binder
The invention relates to a method of producing a binder comprising the steps of preparing (20) a residual material comprising amorphous alumina-rich and/or aluminium hydroxide-rich constituents, heating (30) the residual material to produce a fired material, the heating (30) of the residual material being at a temperature of >800° C.
POLYURETHANE COMPOSITION FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF FLOORS, ESPECIALLY FOR MARINE APPLICATIONS
A polyurethane composition includes a polyol component (A) including at least one polyol, a hardener component (B) including at least one polyisocyanate and glass microspheres along with the other optional additives and fillers. Further a method for applying polyurethane composition to create floors. The polyurethane composition is suitable as a flooring material.
STABILIZED GYPSUM PARTICLES
The present invention is directed to a construction chemical composition for the preparation of gypsum articles, said construction chemical composition comprising fine calcium sulfate and a dispersant being a polyarylether. Further the present invention is directed to a process for preparing said construction chemical composition as well as an article comprising said construction chemical composition.
Compositions and systems for bidirectional energy transfer and thermally enhanced solar absorbers
The present invention provides a bidirectional energy-transfer system comprising: a thermally and/or electrically conductive concrete, disposed in a structural object; a location of energy supply or demand that is physically isolated from, but in thermodynamic and/or electromagnetic communication with, the thermally and/or electrically conductive concrete; and a means of transferring energy between the structural object and the location of energy supply or demand. The system can be a single node in a neural network. The thermally and/or electrically conductive concrete includes a conductive, shock-absorbing material, such as graphite. Preferred compositions are disclosed for the thermally and/or electrically conductive concrete. The bidirectional energy-transfer system may be present in a solar-energy collection system, a grade beam, an indoor radiant flooring system, a structural wall or ceiling, a bridge, a roadway, a driveway, a parking lot, a commercial aviation runway, a military runway, a grain silo, or pavers, for example.
METHODS OF REDUCING FIBER CEMENT WASTE AND FIBER CEMENT ARTICLES PRODUCED THEREFROM
A composite fibre cement cladding element, comprising a plurality of fibre cement component pieces is provided wherein the fibre cement component pieces are fused together to provide a single unit that gives the appearance of two or more courses of cladding elements in a series.
FLOOR PATCHING COMPOSITION
A floor patching composition, including: 100 parts of a dry mortar composition including: 9 to 15 parts of quick-setting cement, and 85 to 94 parts of a sole fine aggregate or a combination of two or more fine aggregates, wherein the sole fine aggregate or the combination has an average true density of 2.8 to 4.0 g/cm.sup.3 and a maximum particle size of 1.2 mm or less; 3 to 18 parts of polymer emulsion solid content having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of equal to or higher than −20° C. and equal to or less than 10° C.; and 6 to 18 parts of water.
Process for the preparation of precipitated silicas, precipitated silicas and their uses, in particular for the reinforcement of polymers
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a novel precipitated silica, wherein: a silicate is reacted with an acidifying agent, so as to obtain a silica suspension; said silica suspension is filtered, so as to obtain a filter cake; said filter cake is subjected to a liquefaction operation, optionally in the presence of an aluminium compound; wherein at least one polycarboxylic acid is added to the filter cake, during or after the liquefaction operation. It also relates to a novel precipitated silica and to its uses.
