A repair compound for use in all applications and particularly well-suited for large hole repair. The repair compound includes a latex resin, a thickener, fibers, and a filler material. In some embodiments, the repair compound is configured to exhibit pseudoplastic-type behavior. In some embodiments, the repair compound has a density of not greater than 4.0 lbs/gal. In some embodiments, the repair compound includes hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers of different morphologies. In some embodiments, the repair compound includes HASE-type thickeners. In some embodiments, the repair compound includes a bimodal distribution of hollow glass microspheres from two different strength/size curves.
Calcium-silicate-based porous particles, composition, method of making and use thereof
A method for synthesizing calcium-silicate-based porous particles (CSPPs) is described. Control over CSPP morphology and pore size is achieved through a refined solution-based synthesis, allowing loading of a variety of sealants. These particles, upon external stimuli, release the loaded sealant into the surrounding material. Methods of loading the CSPPs with loading sealant are described. The CSPPs may be used in pure form or mixed with another material to deliver self-healing, sealing and multi-functional properties to a physical structure. The composition of the CSPPs is described, along with methods of use of the CSPPs.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXPOSED AGGREGATE ARCHITECTURAL COATING FOR EXISTING CONCRETE STRUCTURES
The invention involves an exposed aggregate architectural coating to be applied to existing concrete structures. The invention includes a method of preparing and roughening an existing concrete structure surface, mixing the components of the exposed aggregate architectural coating, applying the coating to the existing concrete structure, spreading the coating to a thickness of one-fourth of an inch or thinner, using a trowel, gauge rake, or other method to smoothen the coating, allowing the coating to cure, applying a surface retarder once the exposed aggregate architectural coating has stiffened, allowing the surface retarder to cure for twenty-four hours, and washing the surface with a pressure-washer to remove the surface retarder, then acid-washing the surface to remove residue and create a desired texture. The resulting applied exposed aggregate architectural coating will have an exposed aggregate finish that is durable and suitable for high vehicular and pedestrian traffic areas.
Thickeners and hydraulic compositions
A thickener is provided comprising an anionic polyacrylamide group containing at least two anionic polyacrylamides having different degrees of anionization, and a water-soluble cellulose ether. When added to a hydraulic composition, the thickener is effective for improving flow while maintaining rheological properties.
Non-Flowable Quick-Setting Phosphate Cement Repair Material with Strong Cohesive Forces and Preparation Method Thereof
The present invention belongs to the field of composite materials, and particularly to a non-flowable quick-setting phosphate cement repair material with strong cohesive forces and the preparation method thereof. The material comprises the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 20% to 40% of sand, 5% to 12% of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, 10% to 25% of magnesium oxide, 2% to 8% of fly ash, 30% to 60% of rubber powder, 6% to 10% of silica fume, 0.35% to 0.6% of a polycarboxylate high efficiency water-reducing agent, 1% to 5% of sodium silicate, 1.5% to 2% of a polypropylene fiber, 0.5% to 2% of a retarder, and 8% to 10% of water. The material is used as the repair material for the special positions of bottom boards of bridges or facades of buildings which are damaged, and the repair effect thereof is remarkable.
CEMENTATION METHODS
The present invention provides methods for mineral precipitation and/or cementation of permeable or fractured non-porous materials using isolated urease.
Hydration control mixture for mortar and cement compositions
The present invention relates to a mixture comprising at least one compound comprising an -hydroxy-carboxylic unit, -hydroxy-sulfonic acid unit or -carbonyl-carboxylic unit and at least one water-soluble organic carbonate. The mixture is useful as a hydration control agent in construction chemical compositions comprising an inorganic binder.
PRODUCTION METHOD OF READY INJECTION MATERIAL COMPRISING NANO HYDRAULIC LIME
The present invention is the production method of ready injection material which aims to develop natural hydraulic lime in nano size by using a single raw material.
Cementitious material
A rapid-setting composition includes fly ash and an activator solution for mixing with the fly ash. The activator solution has a silicate solution including a monovalent hydroxide. The activator solution when mixed with the fly ash produces a composition that has a final set time of no more than about 65 minutes.
RAPID-HARDENING MORTAR COMPOSITION
This rapid-hardening mortar composition includes: a rapid-hardening admixture; cement; and a fine aggregate, wherein the cement is contained in an amount of 100 parts by mass to 2,000 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rapid-hardening admixture, the rapid-hardening admixture is a composition that contains: calcium aluminate; inorganic sulfate in an amount of 50 parts by mass to 200 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the calcium aluminate; and a setting modifier in an amount of 0.1 parts by mass to 10 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the calcium aluminate, and an average particle diameter of the calcium aluminate is in a range of 8 m to 100 m, and an average particle diameter of the setting modifier is in a range of 5 m or less.
