Compositions, methods, and systems related to multi-modal distribution of vaterite particles
Provided herein are compositions, methods, and systems related to bimodal, trimodal, and/or multi-modal distribution of reactive vaterite cement particles.
BINDER COMPOSITIONS FOR THE BUILDING INDUSTRY INCLUDING POZZOLANIC MATERIAL AND HIGH VOLUME FILLER
A binder composition including: (a) between 10% and 49% in dry weight of Portland cement, lime or a mixture thereof; (b) between 10% and 49% in dry weight of at least one pozzolanic material; (c) between 21% and 80% in dry weight of at least one filler; (d) between 0.1% and 10% in dry weight, relative to the total weight of components (a), (b) and (c), of at least one activator; (e) between 0.05% and 1.5% in dry weight, relative to the total weight of components (a), (b) and (c), of at least one rheology enhancing admixture. The filler is a particles mixture of: between 10% and 100% in weight, in respect with the total weight of the filler, of particles having a d50 greater than or equal to 0.05 m and strictly less than 8 m, and between 0% and 90% in weight, in respect with the total weight of the filler, of particles having a d50 greater than or equal to 8 m and less than 200 m.
Glazing material
A glazing material for producing a glazed ceramic body, in which at a first temperature T.sub.1, the glazing material has a viscosity of more than 10.sup.2.5 Pa.Math.s, in particular more than 10.sup.4.0 Pa.Math.s, preferably more than 10.sup.5.6 Pa.Math.s and particularly preferably more than 10.sup.7.0 Pa.Math.s, and, which at a second temperature T.sub.2, which is higher than the first temperature, a viscosity of less than 10.sup.9 Pa.Math.s, in particular less than 10.sup.7 Pa.Math.s and preferably less than 10.sup.5.6 Pa.Math.s. The glazing material can be used for glazing a non-densely sintered substrate material.
DURABLE REFLECTIVE AQUEOUS COMPOSITION
A durable and inexpensive coating that has high solar reflectance and low dirt pickup can be made using a mixture containing: (a) From 20 to 40 weight percent of white cement; (b) From 5 to 30 weight percent of a vinyl ester copolymer which has a glass-transition temperature of 20 C. to 35 C.; (c) at least 0.1 weight percent of a cellulosic thickener, and (d) at least 30 weight percent white fillers in which 95 to 100 weight percent of particles have a particle size of no more than 75 microns, wherein the dry mix composition contains no more than 0.1 weight percent silica and no more than 5 weight percent pozzolans and wherein all weight percentages are based on the weight of the dry components (a)-(d). The dry components can be blended together to form a dry mix, and the dry mix can be mixed with water to form an aqueous coating composition that can be applied by brushing or rolling. The coating is especially useful as a roof coating.
