AEROGEL CONTAINING CONSTRUCTION BOARD
A construction product described herein includes a fiber core that includes a plurality of entangled glass fibers. The fiber core also includes a binder that bonds the plurality of entangled glass fibers together and an Aerogel material that is homogenously or uniformly disposed within the fiber core. In some instances, the fiber core includes between 40 and 80 weight percent of the Aerogel material. The construction product has an R-value of at least 6.5 per inch, a flame spread index of no greater than 5, and a smoke development index of no greater than 20 as measured according to the ASTM E-84 tunnel test.
Lightweight Thermal Insulating Cement Based Materials
A lightweight thermal insulating cement-based material is formed from a mixture that includes cement, water and a foaming agent. The foaming agent can be an aluminum powder or a surfactant. The insulating material has a maximum use temperature of about 900 degrees Celsius or more.
Composite wall panel
A composite wall panel comprising a panel frame and an insulating layer disposed therein, and a wall assembly comprising a plurality of the composite wall panels that are vertically jointed to one another. Various embodiments and combinations of embodiments are provided.
Method for the continuous production of a low-density mineral foam
A method for the continuous production of a mineral foam of which the density in the dry state (d) is from 40 to 600 kg/m.sup.3, includes (i) mixing cement; a water reducing agent; 0.5 to 10%, % by weight with respect to the total weight of cement, of ultrafine particles having a liquid-solid contact angle comprised from 30 to 140, and of which the D50 is from 10 to 600 nm; water, with a water/cement weight ratio from 0.3 to 2.5; (ii) adding to the mixture from 0.5 to 10% of a pore-forming agent, % by weight with respect to the weight of cement; (iii) applying the mixture obtained at step (ii) on a support; (iv) leaving the mixture to expand on the support.
Thermal insulating masonry hollow bricks
Lightweight masonry hollow bricks of a substantially rectangular cuboid shape having central cavities and side indentations. A concrete composition of the masonry hollow bricks includes cement, water, sand, a coarse aggregate, and an insulating material, e.g. perlite, polyethylene, crumb rubber. The developed masonry hollow bricks met the ASTM requirements for non-load bearing masonry bricks in addition to satisfying the ASTM standard as being lightweight masonry bricks.
Insulating cement containing wall composition, insulating cement, and related atricles produced therefrom
Various cement-containing compositions are disclosed, to be made into forms, and prefabricated building materials produced from cement-containing compositions with insulating properties. Some of the preferred embodiments include expanded polystyrene and an acrylic component to provide enhanced insulating properties, or have a lower density, lighter weight, and increased insulating R-value in comparison with other cement-containing compositions.
THERMO-INSULATING CONCRETE
The present invention refers to a new concrete composition comprising fiberglass waste and an air-entraining additive. The concrete presents a thermo-insulating performance far superior to conventionally produced concretes. The present invention is mainly intended for the construction industry, in non-structural applications for thermal insulation. The use of fiberglass waste reduces the consumption of natural aggregates and allows for the use of waste which is expense to dispose of.

The construction product has an R-value of at least 6.5 per inch, a flame spread index of no greater than 5, and a smoke development index of no greater than 20 as measured according to the ASTM E-84 tunnel test.
COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF USING PERLITE
The present invention relates to a powder adhesive composition comprising: (a) cement; (b) a dispersible polymer powder; and (c) at least 10% volume of the powder adhesive is an expanded perlite; wherein said cement is at a ratio of between 600-1000% of the mass of the expanded perlite; and wherein the powder adhesive composition is an adhesive, and the adhesion strength of the adhesive, is over 0.4 MPa, after 28 days, and after water immersion for at least 20 days.
