Hydrophobic coatings to improve the physical quality parameters of fertilizers
A fertilizer composition including a base fertilizer granule with a hydrophobic or super-hydrophobic coating that reduces fertilizer caking and dust formation. The coating can include a roughening component, which creates micron-scale surface roughness, and a hydrophobic coating. Together, the components of the coating act to physically protect water soluble fertilizers granules from the ingress of moisture and from caking, and increase the resistance of the granules to abrasion.
DUST AND ANTICAKING RESISTANT FERTILIZER
A method of reducing dust formation and caking in fertilizer comprising coating the fertilizer in a bituminous emulsion. The coating may comprise bitumen, cutback bitumen, or a combination of bitumen and cutback bitumen comprising 20-100% bitumen. The bitumen, cutback bitumen, or combination thereof may be emulsified with water prior to being sprayed on the fertilizer.
Fertilizer
Interpolymers useful for mixing with a fertilizer for the purpose of enhancing the efficacy of fertilizer nutrients in agricultural applications; and methods of inhibiting the precipitation of, and/or dispersing, inorganic elements in the fertilizer.
SOLVENT DISPERSION FORMULATION CONTAINING A SULFOPOLYMER
The present disclosure describes a combination of at least two compositions in which, the first composition includes one or more active agents and one or more non-aqueous solvents, and the second composition includes a sulfopolymer. The combination of compositions can further comprise a rosin. The non-aqueous solvent can be a water-immiscible solvent, such as oil. The present disclosure also describes the use of the combination of compositions to kill pests around plants or to increase the growth of plants.
Composition and method for treating urea
The present disclosure provides a composition for treating urea particles under ambient atmospheric conditions, a method for treating urea particles with the composition and to a fertiliser treated with the composition. The composition functions to reduce moisture induced agglomeration of treated urea particles compared to moisture induced agglomeration of untreated urea particles. The composition includes a solvent and a mixture of a first and a second aliphatic compound, each compound respectively comprising a selected C.sub.8-C.sub.14 saturated straight chain hydrocarbon a selected C.sub.15-C.sub.19 saturated straight chain hydrocarbon.
SEAWEED EXTRACT COATED FERTILIZER FOR BETTER CROPS AND SOIL HEALTH
Seaweed and/or seaweed extract coated fertilizer core, methods for their use, and production thereof, are disclosed. The fertilizer core, coated by the seaweed and/or seaweed coating, can contain 50 wt. % or more, based on the total weight of the core, of a urea-based fertilizer, or an inorganic fertilizer containing one or more of nitrogen, phosphorus, or potassium, or a combination thereof. The coating can include a seaweed and/or seaweed extract, and optionally contain or exclude gypsum, water insoluble polymer(s) other than native water insoluble polymers present in the seaweed or extract thereof, water, solubilizing agent(s), anticaking agent(s), and/or binding agent(s).

UREA FERTILIZER COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING RICE HULLS AND METHODS OF USE
Compositions comprising urea containing fertilizer (e.g., urea fertilizers or urea formaldehyde reaction product fertilizers such as urea-formaldehyde fertilizer or methylene urea fertilizers) and rice hulls, as well as methods of making and using such compositions are provided.
