Calcium cyanamide fertilizer with triazone
The present invention is a liquid fertilizer comprising a calcium cyanamide component that is dissolved, co-applied, dispersed, or suspended in a solution of aqueous triazone urea. The combination of calcium cyanamide and triazone urea produces a slow release of nitrogen that requires fewer reapplications and is more effective than heretofore fertilizers. In one preferred embodiment, the fertilizer or plant treatment is further combined with a soil treatment including polycarboxylate acids and polyaliphatic acid salts in combination with potash to further enhance the properties of the fertilizer.
SWELLABLE FERTILIZER GRANULES CONTAINING ELEMENTAL SULFUR WITH INCREASED OXIDATION RATES
Fertilizer granules containing elemental sulfur and a hydrogel which expands or swells in the soil to more readily disperse the elemental sulfur surface throughout the soil, which increases the elemental sulfur surface area available for oxidation, and ultimately uptake of sulfur by the plant. The elemental sulfur and hydrogel can be added to a fertilizer composition as either an exterior coating or co-granulated with the base fertilizer composition.

Fertilizer combinations
Disclosed herein is a composition comprising fertilizer particles being coated with at least two layers of superabsorbent polymers such that leachate of nitrogen in the soil is substantially decreased.
Controlled-release fertilizer compositions
A controlled-release fertilizer composition includes coated fertilizer particles having granules substantially encapsulated with a polyurethane coating layer formed from a polyol composition and an isocyanate curing agent. The polyurethane coating layers include inorganic particles. Methods of making and using the controlled-release fertilizer compositions are also disclosed.

BIODEGRADABLE POLYMERS ON FERTILIZER NUTRIENTS
A controlled release fertilizer includes a core including plant nutrient particles and a biodegradable coating composition forming at least one layer surrounding the core, the composition comprising cellulose, the at least one layer being structured as a semi-permeable surface membrane configured to release the plant nutrients from the core in a linear manner.

METHOD FOR PREPARING NITROGEN-RICH OR NUTRITIOUS SLOW-RELEASE FERTILIZER THROUGH IN-SITU STRAW MODIFICATION/REACTIVE EXTRUSION INTEGRATED CONTINUOUS PROCESS
Disclosed is a method for preparing a nitrogen-rich or nutritious straw-based slow-release fertilizer through In-Situ straw modification/reactive extrusion integrated continuous process. In the method, the liquid reaction precursor of a nitrogen-containing biodegradable slow-release fertilizer is mixed with crop straw to obtain a reaction mixture, or the liquid reaction precursor of a nitrogen-containing biodegradable slow-release fertilizer, crop straw and a soluble fertilizer are mixed to obtain a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture is subjected to extrusion in a screw extruder to produce the nitrogen-rich or nutritious straw-based slow-release fertilizer.
