A sandal with a magnetically connected upper straps uses a sandal sole, multiple strap-attachment coupler, and a removable upper to enable a user to modify the sandal's appearance. The strap-attachment couplers are fasteners which are used to attach the removable upper to the multilayered sole. To accomplish this the strap-attachment couplers includes a connector-receiving receptacle and an upper-fastening mechanism. The removable upper includes multiple strap segments, each of which is connected to a connector insert. Inserting the connector insert into the connector-receiving receptacle enables the upper-fastening mechanism to become coupled to the connector inserts, thus tethering the removable upper to the sandal sole. Additionally, the strap-attachment couplers are distributed across the insole, such that the strap-attachment couplers enable the user to create a desired type of sandal.

A shoe fastening system designed to engage the eyelet holes of a shoe, comprising, an anchor, wherein the anchor has a first end and a second end, wherein the first end has means to detachably engage with an eyelet of a shoe and the second end has a connection means, an attachment member having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is designed to securely fit within the connection means of the anchor and the second has a closed loop, a strap, wherein the strap is sized to fit through the closed loop of the attachment member and is a predetermined length and width, and a locking mechanism fitted to receive the strap and engage the strap to keep the strap at a specific length.

The present invention generally relates to therapeutic footwear such as sandals, conventional shoes, and corrective inserts that may be inserted into conventional shoes. Specifically, the therapeutic footwear may be used for maintaining, correcting, or repositioning the great toe to decrease pressure on the first metatarsal-phalangeal joint or bunion. Additional therapeutic features may include spreading of the wearer's toes, supporting the wearer's arch to control excessive pronation, and providing sustained heel cord stretch at rest, during ambulation, pedicure, and before, during, or after medical treatment.

A convertible shoe may include a sole and a plurality of interchangeable heel portions, each selectively attachable to the sole. The heel portions may each include a mounting surface configured to interface with a heel receiver of the sole. The heel receiver may include a fixed hook and a movable hook, with the movable hook being operable by an actuator coupled to a bottom surface of the sole. In some examples, an upper is secured to the sole of the shoe by one or more clamping plates. The present invention is a shoe/sandal system with interchangeable reversible decorative straps and ornaments enabling the upper aesthetic appearance to be changed on a plurality of heel styles. The reversible decorative straps and their attachment devices comprised of a rectangular hook and an elastic band of the same width go over the over the top of permanently affixed straps to ensure a consistent fit and protection to the soft tissues of the foot from hard or abrasive binding surfaces of interchangeable decorative materials and attachment devices. An article of sandal includes a sole structure and a strap secured on the sole structure. The sole structure has an upper surface and a lower surface and an aperture penetrating through the sole structure and exposing an engaging surface between the upper surface and the lower surface of the sole structure. The strap is secured on the upper surface of the sole structure by having a joining plug assembled in the aperture. The joining plug has a blocking portion and a pillar portion connected to a top surface of the blocking portion. The top surface of the blocking portion has a plurality of protrusions that are in direct contact with the engaging surface of the sole structure.

Disclosed herein is an interchangeable strap on an opened toed footwear that includes a sole and a strap. Connected to one or more of the ends of the strap is an insert. The sole of the footwear includes housing units that are connectable to the strap inserts found on one or more strap end. The connection between the insert and the housing unit is both connectable and detachable.

Provided herein is a strap with increased pull strength and footwear comprising such a strap. In particular, provided herein are straps with texture features that increase pull strength.

Disclosed is slip-on footwear with a concealable heel strap that is padded. Suitably, the padding of the padded heel strap is convertible into a pull-tab whenever the heel strap is concealed.
