A granular cohered MOP fertilizer having one or more micronutrients, and one or more binding ingredients. The fertilizer is prepared by compacting MOP feed material with a source of zinc and one or more optional binders to form a cohered MOP composition. The cohered MOP composition is then further processed, such as by crushing and sizing, to form a cohered granular MOP product containing a source of zinc. The process yields a fertilizer product containing micronutrients with superior elemental and granule size distribution without compromising handling or storage qualities.

The present invention relates to a method of preparing a wood chip-type organic composite fertilizer wherein the method comprises the steps of: {circle around (a)} preparing wood chips by chipping; {circle around (b)} preparing a liquid organic fertilizer; {circle around (c)} forming an organic mixed solution; {circle around (d)} obtaining colored wood chips by simultaneously immersing the wood chips of the step {circle around (a)} in the organic mixed solution of the step {circle around (c)} and applying hot air to the organic mixed solution to coat the woods chips with colors; {circle around (e)} drying the wood chips to a high temperature to remove moisture formed on an outer surface of the wood chips of the step {circle around (d)} and to make the organic mixed solution penetrate evenly into the wood chips at the same time; and {circle around (f)} packing the dried wood chips of the step {circle around (e)} by weight unit with the measurement thereof on a scale.

This porous particle is surrounded by a protective sealant layer encasing the porous particle. The particle includes a plurality of pores holding a first beneficial agricultural component. The functionalized particle can also include a plurality of functionalized molecules embedded in the sealant layer. The functionalized molecules comprise a base material, comprising an active agricultural component or an inactive material, and an active second beneficial agricultural component. The functionalized molecules can all contain the same base material and the same active second beneficial agricultural component or a mixture of different base materials and a mixture of second beneficial agricultural components. The first and second beneficial agricultural components can either be single components or a mixture of components and may be the same or different from each other.
