MEDICAL GARMENTS AND ACCESSORIES WITH WELDED ELASTICIZED PARTS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A garment or accessory is provided having an elasticized portion, said elasticized portion being free of stitches or holes. The elasticized portion comprises a fabric portion of the accessory or garment to be elasticized; and a length of elastic element. The length of elastic element is applied to the fabric by a means selected from the group consisting of direct welding and indirect welding. A method is provided for elasticizing a fabric, said elasticized fabric being free of stitches or holes. The method involves providing a stack of fabric to be elasticized; stretching and positioning a length of elastic element against a first of the fabric in the stack; applying one or more ends of the elastic element to the fabric by a means selected from directly welding and indirectly welding; moving the first fabric to expose the next fabric in the stack to be elasticized; and repeating the steps for the next fabric.
Footwear Covering Device
A footwear covering device for covering and insulating a front segment of an article of footwear includes a sleeve into which is insertable so that the sleeve substantially surrounds the front segment. The sleeve thus insulates a front portion of a foot that is positioned in the article of footwear. A fastener is attached to the sleeve proximate to the first end and selectively attaches to the article of footwear so that the sleeve is removably attached to the article of footwear.
HEATED BOOT COVER
A heated boot cover is disclosed. The heated boot cover comprises a layered material formed into an upper which is attached to a sole. The heated boot cover contains a layer of woven material having an electrically conductive yarn threaded throughout. The heating layer is disposed between a layer of fabric in the internal space of the boot cover and a thermal insulating layer. The outermost layer of material is a water resistant material. The boot cover has a fastener, such as a zipper, which has electrical connections so that the heating element of the boot cover can only be activated when the fastener is secured. The boot cover may have a transceiver which allows the operations of the boot cover to be controlled by a smart phone or other computerized device.
Material for Enhancing the Effects of Exercise
A compressible material is provided for use with athletic equipment and apparel for enhancing the effects of physical exercise for a person. The material can include one or more compression members that extend from shoes, insoles for shoes, exercise gloves, wraps for exercise equipment, exercise mat or floor covering, headbands, socks, exercise garments, free weights and sports helmets. The compression members can be made of one or more of rubber, thermoplastic rubber, foam rubber, polyurethane rubber, silicone rubber, thermoplastic resin and thermoplastic elastomer. Positioning the compressible material such that it is between the user and any surface for example when exercising, requires the person to maintain balance while performing the exercise by using other muscles that would not ordinarily be used during the exercise, and provides proprioceptive feedback to the person's central nervous system.
Shoe cover dispenser device
A shoe cover dispenser device for installing a plurality of shoe covers includes a frame, an installation assembly installed on the frame, and the locking assembly installed on the frame and is capable of locking the installation assembly, so that the installation assembly can facilitate the installation of the shoe covers on or the removal of the shoe covers from the installation assembly.
Shoe cover
A pair of separable shoe covers formed into a web of polymeric material having an outer and inner sheet portions is disclosed herein. The web may be spooled into a roll of separable shoe covers. First and second seals are formed widthwise across the outer and inner sheet portions and form forward and rearward portions of respective shoes of a pair. First and second perforations are formed widthwise across the outer and inner sheet portions can separate an individual shoe cover in part. A third perforation forms a separable boundary of respective shoe covers of the pair. The user may tear a shoe cover away from the web by tearing along the perforation lines. The user may then deploy the shoe cover by separating the outer and inner sheet portions.
Self-Fastening Indoor Protecting Device
The invention relates to gum shoe-type footwear and a mechanism both for fixing the shoes and for fastening normal footwear provided with this mechanism which allows a person to perform this operation without leaning and without using their hands. According to the invention, the device comprises a Subassembly (A) drive mechanism and a Subassembly (B) of lower fastening of the Subassembly (A), a Subassembly (C) of upper fastening of the Subassembly (A) and footwear positioning and a pneumatic Subassembly (D).
Shoe With Electrostatic and Endogenous Current Conducting Insert
A static electricity discharging shoe with conductive link to ground having a conductive insole contacting with a sole of a foot of a user, and a conductive outer sole contacting with a ground; and an electro-conductive insert, having an upper major and a lower minor base, the insert in electrical communication between the insole and the outer sole, the insert having a lateral geometry proportioned for complemental engagement within a mid-sole situated between the insole and the outer sole, a narrowest middle portion of the insert secured within the mid-sole, the upper surface of the insert positioned opposite to the plantar metatarsal region of the sole of the foot proximally to the K1 acupressure point when the foot abuts the insole, the upper surface of the insert defining a slightly raised pad, having orthopedic benefit in off-loading of metatarsal stresses on the foot in the area of the K1 point.
Shoe cover dispenser
The invention is a shoe cover dispenser (10) comprising a container (1) with two opposite containment sides (11, 12) and an opening for the insertion of a foot, and a plurality of shoe covers (2, 3) contained in said container (1), each shoe cover (2, 3) in turn comprising a covering provided with an opening (21, 31) for the insertion of a foot. Each shoe cover (2, 3) comprises a flexible strip (A, B) constrained along a part of the edge (22, 32) of said opening (21, 31) of the covering, and wherein the ends (A1, A2, B1, B2) of said strip (A, B) are respectively constrained to said opposite sides (11, 12), so that said strip is forcedly held between said sides (11, 12) while assuming the form of a U.
FOOT COVER FOR FALL PREVENTION
A system, method, and foot cover for preventing slippage. The foot cover includes a stretchable lattice configured to be worn over a foot of a user. The stretchable lattice defines a plurality of openings providing ventilation to the foot of the user. A first end of the stretchable lattice encloses toes of the foot of the user. An opening of the stretchable lattice defines an opening for receiving the foot of the user.
