DETONATOR AND MUNITION
The invention relates to a detonator, in particular for a detonation of pyrotechnics. The invention additionally relates to a munition having said detonator. The aim of the invention is to achieve a high degree of variability when using practice munitions in particular and other non-lethal munitions. This is achieved in that the detonator consists at least of a detonation transmitter, wherein the detonation transmitter is coated with a thin layer of an explosive. The detonation transmitter can be a shock tube without an explosive capsule.
Apparatus and method for blasting
The present invention provides an explosive method that improves on methods currently employed. The present invention provides for a safer, less expensive, and more portable explosive device. The elements of the present invention replace dynamite or similar explosives currently used in avalanche control and bore hole blasting of rock or other solids. The present invention comprises an apparatus and a method providing a much safer alternative employing a highly confined combustion reaction of a flammable vapor, whereas dynamite is a category 1.1 high explosive imbued with all the attendant safety and security concerns. The method of the present invention provides for an improved and safer method of blasting employing a highly confined combustion reaction of a flammable vapor instead of conventional explosives currently used.
Conductive shock tube
A shock tube for propagating and initiating a signal to an explosive charge which includes at least first and second elongate flexible conductors on a body of the detonator to enable two-way communication between the explosive charge and a blasting machine thereby to confirm the status of the detonator prior to sending a fire signal.

Trunkline delay detonator and blast-triggering device using same
The present disclosure relates to a trunkline delay detonator and a blast-triggering device using the same. In the blast-triggering device, a trunkline delay detonator is inserted into a connector in such a manner that a plurality of shock tubes connected to a detonator for initiating an explosive are interposed between the connector and the trunkline delay detonator, so that an explosion signal is applied to the shock tubes by detonation of the trunkline delay detonator. In the blasting detonator, close contact between the outer surface of the trunkline delay detonator and the shock tubes is improved, whereby energy lost in an explosion is reduced and an explosion signal is stably and uniformly applied to the shock tubes by using powder which has a weak explosive power and is relatively insensitive compared to conventional powders.

CARTRIDGE WITH IGNITER CORDS
The invention relates to a cartridge having a projectile secured to a case that contains a propelling charge and closed by a base. A device for igniting the propelling charge has at least two energetic igniter cords that extend between an initiating means secured to a rear part of the case and the projectile. In this cartridge, the cords are joined at their rear part so as to form a strand, and they are fastened by at least one fastening means secured to the cartridge, the strand being connected to the initiating means by a packing gland making it possible to immobilize the cords both radially and axially relative to the initiating means while keeping the cords tight between their fastening means and the initiating means.
Reactive materials for manipulating propagation rates and a resulting chemical time delay
The present invention is directed to embodiments of reactive material (RM) and an associated chemical time delay that includes an RM, according to an embodiment of the present invention. One embodiment includes a delay material that is an RM patterned on a substrate using lithographic techniques. Another embodiment includes a delay material that is an RM deposited on a patterned substrate such as a mesh. The present invention also includes a chemical time delay that includes either embodiment of the delay material, or any variation on the delay material that would be known to or conceivable to one of skill in the art.

EXPLOSIVE DETONATING SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS
An explosive detonating system comprises connectable components to connect/disconnect a pathway that ignites an explosion. A firing actuator activates primers. An adapter connects the firing actuator to shock tube and channels the ignition force from the primers into the shock tube. A cap box houses blasting caps coupled to the end of the shock tube. A priming well is coupled to the cap box/blasting caps and detonating cord. When the firing actuator is initiated, the percussion caps ignite, sending an explosive jet of gas into the shock tube, which ignites an explosive liner. An explosive wave travels through the shock tube and activates the blasting caps, which activate the detonating cord in the priming well. The explosive is placed in a location to provide a desired explosive effect. For example, the system may be employed as a system to breach into structures, remove obstacles and/or barriers, or other applications.
