A method of making an article of footwear comprises associating an upper of the article of footwear with a printer. The upper has a lower peripheral portion. The method comprises printing a first end portion of a mechanical connector so that the first end portion of the mechanical connector is coupled with the lower peripheral portion, and printing a second end portion of the mechanical connector. The second end portion extends away from the lower peripheral portion. The second end portion is configured to engage a sole structure and fasten the upper to the sole structure.

An upper may be included with an article of footwear. The upper may include a textile portion, the textile portion forming a throat area of the upper. The upper may further include a base portion, the base portion extending to a biteline area of the upper. The upper may further include a tie structure, the tie structure extending through a first opening of the textile portion and a second opening of the base portion to secure the textile portion to the base portion.

A separable footwear article comprising an outsole oriented at a bottom of the footwear and configured for ground contact, the outsole comprising a first material, an upper portion comprising a second material different from the first material, and a welt positioned between the outsole and the upper. The welt is releasably coupled to the outsole with a first thread using a first stitching technique, and releasably coupled to the upper portion with a second thread using a second stitching technique. The outsole, the upper portion, and the welt are configured to be separated upon receipt of a pulling force upon the first thread and the second thread sufficient to remove the first thread and the second thread from the footwear article.

A shoe comprising a sole comprising a female element; and an upper arrangement comprising a corresponding male element configured to be received in the female element upon insertion in an insertion direction. The male and female elements comprise complementary locking features including a first locking feature being provided on a peripheral surface of one of the male or female elements, and a second locking feature being provided on a peripheral surface of the other of the male or female elements. The first locking feature comprises a protrusion that protrudes in a direction transverse to the insertion direction, and the second locking feature comprises a locking recess. The locking protrusion is configured to engage with the locking recess as the male element is inserted into the female element, thereby locking the sole to the upper arrangement.

An attachable shoe lace cover for a shoe is described. The shoe lace cover comprises of a foldable strap at a front portion, a pair of eyelets or apertures or holes at a back portion, a display area at a top portion equipped to exhibit display material and the shoe lace cover is attached to the shoe with the help of its shoe laces through the pair of eyelets or apertures or holes. The foldable strap is capable of folding back to seal at a back portion of the shoe lace cover, thus helping in firmly fixing the shoe lace cover to the shoe.

A shoe with removable portions wherein each removable portion can be separately washed or replaced. The shoe with removable portions comprises a sole portion, an insole portion, and an upper portion, wherein the sole portion and upper portion are removably secured to each other via a fastener. The sole portion includes a first fastener disposed at an upper edge around a perimeter thereof. The upper portion includes a base and a sidewall forming an interior volume with an open end, wherein a second fastener is disposed around a perimeter of the base. An open-toe shoe with a flexible upper removably attachable to a rigid sole. The upper is attached to the sole by a set of screws turned into internally-threaded bores in the sole. The bore is a hole formed directly in the sole or the bore is within a hard insert secured in the sole. For an upper with a thong, the thong optionally attaches to the foot bed using a threaded rod turned into a threaded bore.

The invention relates to shock-absorbing adaptable footwear which has a hidden fastening system, having a cushioning device, a device for supporting the sole of the foot, and an accessory-fastening device arranged in the inner material of the body of the footwear. The cushioning device has two sheets between which there are cushioning elements, arranged on at least one portion of the sole of the footwear. The device for supporting the sole of the foot has an area of elastic material that allows the body of the footwear to expand or contract.
