The present invention relates generally to methods and systems for removing oxygen from at least one product stream of a hydrocarbon oxidative dehydrogenation process. More specifically, in some embodiments, the oxidative dehydrogenation process is an ethane oxidative dehydrogenation process for producing ethylene.
METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND PURIFYING ISOBUTYLENE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ISOBUTYLENE
Provided are an industrially advantageous method for separating and purifying isobutylene, the method enabling high-purity isobutylene to be efficiently obtained by a simple process, and a method for producing isobutylene. A method for separating and purifying isobutylene from a reaction gas containing the isobutylene and unreacted isobutanol, comprising: a step (1) of contacting the reaction gas containing the isobutylene and unreacted isobutanol with a first solvent to obtain a first gas containing the isobutylene and a recovered solution containing the unreacted isobutanol; a step (2) of contacting the first gas with a specific second solvent to allow the second solvent to absorb the isobutylene contained in the first gas to obtain an absorption solution containing the isobutylene; and a step (3) of distilling the absorption solution to obtain separated and purified isobutylene. A method for producing isobutylene using the separation and purification method.
Propane/butane dehydrogenation complex with thermal oxidation system
A process for the treatment of sulfidic spent caustic, conditioned catalyst regeneration vent gas, C4 isomerization off gas, various and hydrocarbon containing liquid and gaseous streams in addition to toxic containing streams like cyanidic off gas and waste water in a propane/butane dehydrogenation complex is described. Various effluent streams are combined in appropriate collection vessels, including an off-gas knockout drum, a hydrocarbon buffer vessel, a spent caustic buffer vessel, an optional a waste water buffer vessel, and a fuel gas knockout drum. Streams from these vessels are sent to a thermal oxidation system.
Method for purifying isobutene from a C4 stream and process system therefor
A process for the purification of isobutene from a C4 stream with at least 1-butene, 2-butene, isobutane and isobutene includes isomerizing 1-butene from a stream of material which is concentrated in isobutane and isobutene obtained from the C4 stream into 2-butene, using a catalyst in an isomerization reactor; supplying a product stream from the isomerization reactor to a rectification column; and providing a stream of material which is concentrated in isobutene. A processing facility is utilized for the purification of isobutene from the C4 stream.

SQUALENE EXTRACTION FROM SEED OILS
A method for squalene extraction from a seed oil includes converting fatty acids of the seed oil into soap by subjecting the seed oil to a saponification reaction to obtain a saponified product, and adsorbing the fatty acids of the seed oil on surfaces of iron oxide nanoparticles to obtain iron oxide nanoparticles coated with fatty acids. The method may further include washing the iron oxide nanoparticles coated with fatty acids with a polar solvent to obtain a third mixture including a polar phase and the iron oxide nanoparticles coated with fatty acids, separating the iron oxide nanoparticles coated with fatty acids from the third mixture by a magnetic field, mixing the polar phase with a non-polar solvent and distilled water to obtain a two-phase solution, the two-phase solution including a non-polar phase and an aqueous phase, and separating and drying the non-polar phase to obtain squalene.
Removal of aromatic impurities from an alkene stream using an acid catalyst
A process for the preparation of a chemical composition comprising an aromatic compound a in a concentration B by weight, based on the total weight of the chemical composition, including: providing the following reaction components: a chemical composition comprising the following: the aromatic compound a in a concentration A by weight based on the total weight of the chemical composition, and an olefin in an amount of about 50 to about 99.99 wt. %, based on the total weight of the chemical composition, and an acidic solid; reacting the components to obtain the chemical composition comprising the aromatic compound a in a concentration B by weight based on the total weight of the chemical composition; wherein the concentration B is less than the concentration A.
