A mosquito repelling device is disclosed. The mosquito repelling device comprises: a microphone, configured to receive surrounding sounds; a power supply, configured to receive power; a first output device, configured to repel mosquitoes; and a processor, configured to process the received surrounding sounds from the microphone, determine whether there are mosquitoes present, and instruct the output device to repel mosquitoes if the processor determines there are mosquitoes present.

A system for dispensing a pest attractant or repellent into a surrounding environment, comprising: a main reservoir for storing a fluid; a control volume coupled to the main reservoir, a first flow restrictor arranged to regulate a flow of the fluid between the main reservoir and the control volume; a second flow restrictor arranged to regulate a flow of the fluid out of the control volume; and, an evaporation medium positioned at or downstream of the first flow restrictor, wherein at least one of the first and the second flow restrictors is a controllable flow restrictor, and wherein the system further comprises electronically controllable actuation means for actuating the controllable flow restrictor.

A puffer device includes a cabinet having a printed circuit board and a gear train assembly coupled to the printed circuit board. The gear train assembly includes a motor and a gear driven by the motor. A cam is coupled to the gear. The cabinet further includes a plunger configured to be contacted and driven by the cam. The puffer device further includes an aerosol can assembly configured to be releasably coupled to the cabinet, wherein movement of the plunger is configured to dispense a material from the aerosol can assembly.
