A method for operating a hydrostatic steering device for an agricultural utility vehicle, includes controlling a steering orbitrol of the hydrostatic steering device by a steering wheel via a steering column, deflecting a steering cylinder in accordance with a driver-side steering actuation of the steering wheel, detecting a steering actuation variable via a first sensor, detecting a steering position variable via a second sensor, in a normal operating mode, the control unit is configured to actuate the electric drive unit such that an actuating torque which increases continuously with the wheel steering angle is generated at the steering column and thus at the steering wheel, and in an emergency operating mode, the control unit is configured to control the electric drive unit such that an actuating torque is generated on the steering column and thus on the steering orbitrol to support driver-side steering actuation.

Laser guidance system for agricultural operations

The present invention provides an improved mechanism for centering implements in agricultural fields by providing a laser guidance system with a laser attached to the implement. The laser may operate to emit a beam in order to produce a spot or beam onto the field which an equipment operator may visually target to improve steering of the implement. The laser may be centered on the implement, and the beam produced by the laser may be directed forward within a steering range of the implement and within a field of view of the equipment operator.

SWATH ACQUISITION SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE

A method for controlling an agricultural vehicle includes receiving, via a processor, a first signal from a user interface indicative of a value of at least one parameter. The method also includes determining, via the processor, a path of the agricultural vehicle toward a guidance swath based at least in part on the at least one parameter. In addition, the method includes outputting, via the processor, a second signal to a display of the user interface indicative of instructions to present a graphical representation of the path of the agricultural vehicle. Furthermore, the method includes controlling the agricultural vehicle, via the processor, based at least in part on the at least one parameter upon receiving at least a third signal from the user interface indicative of acceptance of the value of the at least one parameter.

An operation management system for a vehicle controllable by an operator to perform various vehicle actions, the system including a processor, a memory, and a human-machine interface. The processor is configured to record sequences of operator-initiated vehicle actions into the memory, record a distance value associated with each vehicle action relative to a previous vehicle action in the sequence into the memory, and generate a new sequence in the memory beginning with each vehicle action.

IMAGE FILTER BASED ON ROW IDENTIFICATION

System and techniques for an image filter based on row identification are described herein. A crop row center represented in an image of a crop row can be calculated. A filter corresponding to a set of expected crop characteristics of the crop row can be obtained. Elements in the image can then be categorized based on applying the filter to the image when the filter anchored on the crop row.
