A footwear insert, including a plurality of bodies to be disposed on or within at least a portion of a left shoe and at least a portion of a right shoe, and a plurality of indicators disposed on or within at least a portion of the plurality of bodies to indicate a correct position of the plurality of bodies with respect to each other.

Gait feedback system

A system may be provided for incorporation in an article of footwear that has an upper coupled to a sole, where the sole has an insole and an outsole and the upper and the insole define an interior space for receiving a foot of a user. The system may include a device configured to be coupled to the footwear beneath the user's foot and a structure for fixing the device in place in a predetermined position in the footwear. In such system, the structure may include a compressible portion coupled to a substantially incompressible portion, and the device may be directly supported by the hard plastic portion of the structure to provide a feedback signal to the user when a pressure applied to the device by the user's foot exceeds a threshold value.

Haptic transducer device and insole for receiving the same

Embodiments include a haptic transducer device comprising a magnetic assembly including a yoke and a magnet disposed within an inner cavity formed by the yoke. The device further includes a diaphragm having a top surface, a ledge projecting below and outwards relative to the top surface, and a sidewall extending downwards from the ledge towards the inner cavity. The device also includes a suspension extending concentrically around the diaphragm and including arms extending between inner and outer edges of the suspension, the inner edge being attached to the ledge of the diaphragm and the outer edge being attached to the outer ledge of the yoke. The device further includes a coil attached to the sidewall of the diaphragm and suspended within the inner cavity. One embodiment further includes an attachment groove integrated into the top surface of the diaphragm and configured for receiving attachment structures included on a footwear insole.

Footwear Having Sensor System

An article of footwear includes an upper member and a sole structure, with a sensor system connected to the sole structure. The sensor system includes a plurality of sensors that are configured for detecting forces exerted by a user's foot on the sensor. The sensor system also includes a port that is configured to receive a module to place the module in communication with the sensors. The port includes a housing with a chamber configured to receive the module and an interface engaged with the housing and having at least one electrical contact exposed to the chamber. Additional retaining structure and interface structure may be included.

INTELLIGENT ELECTRONIC FOOTWEAR AND LOGIC FOR NAVIGATION ASSISTANCE BY AUTOMATED TACTILE, AUDIO, AND VISUAL FEEDBACK
20200297063 · 2020-09-24 · ·

Presented are intelligent electronic footwear and apparel with controller-automated features, methods for making/operating such footwear and apparel, and control systems for executing automated features of such footwear and apparel. A method for operating an intelligent electronic shoe (IES) includes receiving, e.g., via a controller through a wireless communications device from a GPS satellite service, location data of a user. The controller also receives, e.g., from a backend server-class computer or other remote computing node, location data for a target object or site, such as a virtual shoe hidden at a virtual spot. The controller retrieves or predicts path plan data including a derived route for traversing from the user's location to the target's location within a geographic area. The controller then transmits command signals to a navigation alert system mounted to the IES's shoe structure to output visual, audio, and/or tactile cues that guide the user along the derived route.

SMART FOOTWEAR WITH WIRELESS CHARGING

A smart footwear system including a wireless charging system directed to measuring and capturing pressure data exerted on a shoe footwear item. The smart footwear system is operable to be used with virtual reality systems and provide controlled movements for an avatar in a virtual environment based on a user's movements.

INTELLIGENT ELECTRONIC FOOTWEAR AND CONTROL LOGIC FOR EXECUTING AUTOMATED FOOTWEAR FEATURES

Presented are intelligent electronic footwear with controller automated features, methods for making/using such footwear, and control systems for executing automated features of intelligent electronic footwear. An intelligent electronic shoe (IES) includes an upper that attaches to a user's foot, and a sole structure that is attached to the upper and supports thereon the user's foot. An alert system, which is mounted to the sole structure and/or upper, generates predetermined outputs in response to electronic command signals. The IES system also includes a wireless communications device that wirelessly communicates with a remote computing node, and a footwear controller that communicates with the wireless communications device and alert system. The footwear controller receives location data indicative of the user's and remote computing node's locations, determines whether the user's location is within a predetermined location/proximity to the node's location and, if so, transmits command signals to the alert system to notify the user/vehicle.

Method of providing information according to gait posture and electronic device for same

A method of providing information according to a gait posture and an electronic device for the same are provided. The method includes collecting sensor values detected using a plurality of sensors located at the surrounding of a user's feet, determining a user's gait posture by using the detected sensor values, and outputting at least one of information on the user's gait posture, information on muscle fatigue of the user according to the gait, information on joint fatigue of the user according to the gait, and information on a recommended exercise for the user based on the determined user's gait posture.

A system assesses activity and displays a unitless activity value. A detector senses activity of a user. A processor reads sensed activity data from the detector. A display displays the unitless activity value. An enclosure houses the detector and the processor. The processor periodically reads the sensed activity data from the detector and processes the data to generate an activity number, the number being used to generate the unitless activity value based upon a maximum number and a display range.
