METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ARENE WITH AN AROMATIC C-N BOND ORTHO TO AN AROMATIC C-O BOND
A method for producing an arene with an aromatic CN bond ortho to an aromatic CO bond from a hydroxy arene comprising said aromatic CO bond is provided. This method comprising the steps a) ortho-oxygenating the hydroxy arene to produce an ortho-quinone, b) condensating the ortho-quinone with a nitrogen nucleophile to generate a compound of Formula (IVa) or (IVb), and c) allowing 1,5-hydrogen atom shift of the compound of Formula (IVa) or (IVb), thereby producing arenes with a CN bond ortho to a CO bond of Formula (Va) and (Vb), respectively:

An object of the present disclosure is to provide a composite having excellent heat resistance and/or hydrophobicity and allowing easy introduction of a functional group thereinto. A composite comprising: a fluorine-containing polymer; and one or more cyclic compounds that include the fluorine-containing polymer, where the cyclic compound comprises a compound represented by the following formula (I):

The present invention relates to quinone-derived compounds with leishmanicidal activity and to the use of same in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the field of parasitic diseases. The invention relates specifically to a compound of formula (I), the isomeric forms thereof and the salts of same, wherein R1 and R3 are hydrogen and R2 is selected from the list consisting of cyclopentyl, cycloheptyl, 3-methyl-pentyl and adamantane, or wherein R1 and R2 are hydrogen and R3 is selected from the list consisting of cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl and cycloheptyl.
